Called to Serve

We are privileged to provide nursing and residential care to more than 500 residents each year in our six nursing and residential care homes. We were established as the Bermondsey Medical Mission in 1904 and our charitable objectives have always been to relieve poverty, to relieve sickness and to advance the Christian faith. Today, we employ nearly 400 people in the London Boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Southwark.

Our six care homes are located in Bromley, Bickley, Chislehurst, Denmark Hill and Lewisham. We provide loving, dignified and person centred care, guided by our Christian ethos, to older people living with dementia, older people living with long term nursing needs and to younger adults living with physical disabilities. We recognise that our valuable resource is our staff, who are absolute essential to the high qulaity nursing and residential care that is provided in our homes. We are confident that a career with Mission Care is both rewarding and challenging and we are committed to ongoing training and development for all of our employees. In 2004, in celebration of our centenary Mission Care International was established to complement our work at home, by seeking to serve vulnerable and marginalised people outside of the UK.

We are registered to care for 30 younger adults living with physical disabilities. We are registered to care for 35 older people living with dementia.
