….Sorry if I’ve not responded to my birthday messages! I’ve had a little mini break in A&E and medical emergency admissions via Ambulance. All very sudden and a bit scary to be honest. I’m home now and recovering during half term children mayhem!!! Just didn’t want anyone to think I was rude or ignorant… thank you for my birthday well wishes ❤️❤️❤️. Healthcare professionals make the worst patients, in case you didn’t already know, I got severely reprimanded for “ignoring my severe symptoms for 2 days”…. 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ Huge thank you to the ambulance crew, A&E RESUS staff and Medical team in hospital for taking such good care of me, non of you get the respect, pay or recognition you deserve ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

I don’t really like my birthday very much…. Too many poor childhood memories. But in the last years I have been overcoming these childhood rejection triggers and learning to love myself more. People used to speak of this self love thing to me and I was like “WTF?!” Weirdos!! But I tell you… It takes honesty, soul searching, deep reflection and willingness to change to address the pain and the things not serving you a positive purpose in life. So this week I am happy and blessed and grateful. Just being a mum has given me enough love to pour back out into the world, but I’ve also been blessed with a great career, some very kind and loving people in my world who love me equally through the dark times as well as enjoying the good easier days. What more could I want??? I mean other than to live mortgage and bill free on a beautiful island….. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you to all my family and friends who have remembered my special week! Those who know me well know I shy away and hide this week as self preservation in case of more deep hurt and rejection. However with the “self love” has come balance- I don’t any longer need a person I once knew 15 years ago who I haven’t spoken to since to send me birthday wishes anymore to validate my existence!! Funny now, but it’s true. When we want to believe something we look everywhere to support that belief and encourage the self fulfilling prophecy. For me the belief was “I’m not good enough”. But now I’m in a healthy place of “Hell yeah I love myself warts and all” (I don’t actually have any warts FYI) This years bottom line? Own your s**t, apologise for it. Those people willing to work through it with you are keepers and genuinely care. And most of all LOVE YOURSELF REGARDLESS ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You may have noticed I’ve been very quiet lately!! We have uprooted the family and moved for fresh beginnings!! We are all looking forward to our new chapter together in a whole new county…. So once we are all settled in and the endless boxes are gone, I’ve got some very exciting things to share, and some great women’s health content coming up!!
