🥰 Margaret’s First Trip Back Into Chorley 🥰
For months, Margaret* hadn’t been into town.
After losing her confidence, even a simple trip into Chorley felt overwhelming. She missed choosing her own birthday cards. She missed her favourite little café. Most of all, she missed feeling like herself.
Her daughter was worried.
“She used to be so independent,” she said. “I just want Mum to enjoy life again.”
That’s when they called Visiting Angels Central Lancashire.
The first outing was simple — a gentle stroll, arm in arm, with one of our compassionate carers. They stopped for tea. They chatted. They took their time.
By the end of the afternoon, Margaret was smiling.
Now, she enjoys regular trips out — whether it’s shopping, a walk in the park, or meeting friends. With the right support, she didn’t just go back into town… she got a little piece of her independence back too. 💛
