Former Mayor of Chorley, Widower to Margaret, beloved father to Melville Jr and cousin to Martin.
Melville’s funeral will take place at St Peter’s Church, Harpers Lane, Chorley at 12.30pm on Thursday 20th November 2025, followed by interment at Chorley Cemetery.
Family flowers only and donations in Melville’s memory may be made to St Laurence Church via the funeral director.

The beloved wife of Kevin and dearly loved mum of Simon.

‘May She Rest in Peace’

Requiem Mass will be held at Sacred Heart R.C Church, Brooke Street, Chorley, PR6 0NG on Thursday 6th November at 11am, prior to interment at St. Gregory’s R.C Churchyard, Weldbank Lane, Chorley PR7 3NW.

Supporting young people on their faith journey was always a passion for Stella. She loved to hear about the Lourdes pilgrimage and the Faith in Action awards.

Rather than flowers, we would ask anyone who might like to, and is able, to donate to support and help those young people who will go to Lourdes in 2026 for the 50th anniversary pilgrimage and the young people who have completed their FIA award and will come to the award ceremony in June.
