Today in preparation for world kindness day on November 13th, we shared memories of our own experiences of acts of kindness either received or given to us by others. We wrote down many small acts of kindness we can all do in everyday life no matter how small, that can make a difference to someone else and help to brighten their day. We chose picture quotes that we liked the most to add to our hanging collage which we’ve used to brighten our bistro and share with everyone.

Today we celebrated our lovely newest resident Susan’s birthday. During our one to one I sang her Happy Birthday and presented her with cake and personalised cup gift. Susan was over the moon. We chatted and Susan insisted I shared a chocolate with her which I happily obliged. 😋😋😋

Lots of sweet treats enjoyed by all.

This year was very special to our lovely resident Olive. She attended her granddaughter’s wedding and gave a wonderful speech with the poem she had written. During our one to one today, she was so proud to show me all the wonderful photo’s from that special day, that she has now received in an album. Thank you for sharing the event with us Olive from both staff and residents. You truly looked beautiful and very proud.
