Thinking about tear trough filler? Try this test👇

The snap back test is a quick way to check if you’re suitable for under-eye filler.

✨ How it works:
Gently pinch the skin just beneath your eye and let go.
Healthy, elastic skin should snap back instantly.

If there’s a delay, it can mean the skin has lost elasticity- a normal part of ageing where collagen and elastin fibres weaken. When elasticity is reduced, placing filler in this area can lead to issues like:

🔹 Puffiness
🔹 The Tyndall effect- a bluish tint under the eye

In these cases, it’s usually better to improve the skin quality first rather than go straight to filler. Treatments like polynucleotides, microneedling, and medical-grade skincare can significantly strengthen the under-eye tissue.

Once the skin is healthier, we can reassess whether filler is the safest and most effective option.
