Today we hosted our very own Ladies’ Race Day 🐎✨
We enjoyed mocktails, a lovely afternoon tea, and even had a bit of fun with our own horse racing. Such a brilliant day all round! 💕

It’s not about the distance — it’s about unity. 🤝

On 19 April, CMD and friends will be walking from Atherton Collieries AFC (The Dreams to Reality Stadium) to the home of Astley & Buckshaw United FC at Brookfield’s. 👣⚽

This is a fundraising walk in support of Genesis Care, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the support shown so far.
Bringing our community and local organisations together, one step at a time.

Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Edna’s incredible 104th birthday 🎉
It’s been a truly lovely day filled with laughter, music and wonderful company. We enjoyed some delicious cakes- a big thank you to Edna’s family for kindly providing them – and raised a glass of non-alcoholic wine to mark the occasion.

We were also delighted to have a special visit from Rosie the dog, who brought plenty of smiles to everyone.
A special thank you to Peter for the music, which made the celebration even more memorable.
Happy 104th birthday, Edna – what an amazing milestone! 💐

I've been working in the care sector for over 30 years. 21 of those at Genesis. I worked with Lorna previously, and my mum also attended Genesis, which is how I came to work here. I'm very proud of the amazing staff team we have and how caring, compassionate, and supportive they are for our families and each other. 💙
