Need a Warm Space? We’ve Got You Covered!

Genesis Care is proud to be offering a Warm Space for anyone who needs it. 💛
A welcoming place to come in from the cold, relax, warm up, and connect with others in the community.
No pressure, no cost- just a friendly space and a warm welcome.
Pop in, take a seat, and stay a while.
Everyone is welcome.

Our hours for Warm Space are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 11.30am until 2.30pm.

Warm Welcome Spaces Services:

✔️Lunch, hot drinks and other refreshments
✔️Power sockets to charge your mobile devices (must bring your charger with you)
✔️Accessible toilets

Join us for a Needle Felting Session on Wednesday 28th January.

1.00–3.30pm

Come along and have a go at needle felting in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Whether you’re completely new or already have some experience, you’re very welcome. We’ll be creating small felted pieces (such as birds or other simple designs), with guidance and materials provided.

This afternoon we settled down to watch a Christmas film and enjoyed hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate flakes- a real treat! ✨️

We’ve had our Christmas dinner day and what a lovely one it’s been 🎄
A full turkey Christmas dinner, followed by Christmas pudding, with some non-alcoholic wine to wash it all down. We’ve played bingo, tackled a few Christmas quizzes, and sung lots of carols together.
Good food, good company, and plenty of festive cheer all round – a proper Christmas celebration. 🎶✨

We started the morning with tea and toast, followed by a friendly catch-up where we shared stories and reminisced about the old days. ❤️

For lunch we enjoyed a lovely fish pie served with vegetables, followed by fruit and ice cream for pudding 😋

This afternoon we were treated to a fantastic performance by BUG (Barbara’s Ukulele Band), who played a wide selection of songs for us to enjoy. A big thank you to them for such an uplifting and enjoyable afternoon. 🎵 🎶 💃

A cosy, rainy afternoon spent making chocolate reindeer today 🦌🍫
Lunch was proper comfort food – chicken, mash, veg and gravy, followed by apple crumble for pudding. We even squeezed in a bit of Strictly Come Dancing to finish the day off nicely. Perfect way to hide from the rain. ☔️💛

What a lovely Friday we’ve had!

Lizzie from Project Dance popped in today and treated us to some brilliant dance moves – even a few festive Christmas ones. Everyone said how lovely it was to have her with us. ✨️ 💃

For lunch we enjoyed fishcakes, potatoes and veg, followed by chocolate whip with cream, and of course some delicious Christmas fruit cake.

This afternoon we played dominoes, while others preferred a good old natter and a catch-up.

A perfect end to the week! 🎄✨
