We had a magical, musical afternoon, with Ian from Music in Mind!

Ian got the party started and we followed with scarf-waving, singing, clapping and swaying to our favourite hits!

We loved it when Ian played some George Formby classics on his 100 year old, banjo-lele too!

PLEASE....wait until the end of the clip, when Ian and our lovely Harry discuss the 'meaning of life!'
It's worth the wait!

A huge thanks to Ian and we can't wait to see you again very soon!

We all had a 'slice of the pie' today!

British Pie Week saw our talented Chef Louise making a stunning beef and mushroom pie with veg, mash and gravy for our residents to enjoy!

Everyone commented it was absolutely delicious!

Games in the garden this afternoon was a chance to burn off a few calories, however.....we followed this with some warm fruit pies, served with double cream!!

We love Pie Week! ;)

What a wonderful world!

Our National Wildlife Day Quiz, opened our eyes to some of the incredible creatures we share this amazing planet with!

We ventured out into our garden, to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and got to see some of our local birds and wildlife first-hand too!

It was a lovely and relaxing afternoon for our residents and families, and we all learnt something new about wildlife!
What could be better!

We had a wonderful afternoon today, filled with Readings, hymns and prayers to mark the second Sunday of Lent!

Father Francis put together a lovely service for our home, recalling events leading up to Lent and the meaning behind these.

We all agreed, we were very impressed with Father Francis' use of technology today!.....

Using his new portable sound system, he played an array of carefully selected music and audio recordings, bringing the service to life!

Thank you Father Francis for your inspiration, and for bringing The Church into our home!

Today our lovely group of residents enjoyed a fantastic trip to the British Commercial Vehicle Museum 🚍✨
We had such a wonderful time exploring all the incredible vehicles on display and learning about their history. From vintage buses to classic trucks, there was so much to see and talk about — lots of memories shared and plenty of fascinating facts discovered along the way!
Our amazing group even paid their own way into the venue — independence and pride shining through as always 💛
Most importantly, it was a day full of laughter, friendship, and special moments spent together with friends and family. And of course, no perfect day is complete without a well-deserved cup of tea when we got home ☕
A truly lovely day from start to finish 🥰

Here at Marley Court we love looking forward to new and exciting Activities!

We also recognise the value of looking back and reminiscing about the good times we've had!

It was a real pleasure today to give residents a framed picture of an impactful Activity, we were lucky enough to enjoy!

Animal Therapy is a fantastic way to reach out to all our residents, and the Lancashire Hawkes and Owls Society, was a great example!

Keep your eyes out for more Animal Therapy sessions, coming to Marley Court soon!

Cake decorating kind of afternoon. 🎂
Did we eat more cakes than we decorated? Maybe! But we had fun!
We had so many laughs this afternoon decorating cakes. Some of us asked Natasha for help, we told her what we would like to draw and she drew it for us.
We used the icing pens for precision decorating, and choose our favourite colours.
Some of us couldn't wait for pudding at tea time to eat ours though so we ate them straight away 😋

Spring is getting closer and the birds are getting hungry!
We love to bird watch here at Marley Court and what better way to call birds to our gardens than to make them some delicious food.
We mixed together bird seeds, suet pellets and lard then added string into the mixture before setting them into the fridge.
Tomorrow we hope to hang them around Marley grounds so we can keep our eyes peeled for different types of birds.
