Some days feel like a gentle reminder from above. 🤍✨

On Wednesday 17th December 2025, Springfield was wrapped in something truly special. The children from St Oswald’s Choir walked through our doors and suddenly the whole home felt lighter. Their voices filled the rooms, their smiles warmed hearts, and for a moment, time stood still.

After the singing, they sat side by side with our residents decorating frames and wheelchairs together. Little hands helping older hands. Laughter, colours, stories and memories being made in the simplest, most beautiful way. There was so much joy that even the quietest corners of the home came alive.

This is what Christmas at Springfield Care Home is all about. Togetherness. Community. Love shared across generations. We don’t just care for people, we create moments that matter.

Thank you St Oswald’s for giving our residents a day they will talk about for a long time. This is the heart of Springfield. 🤍🎄

Monday, 15th December 2025 will stay in our hearts for a long time.

Sunshine Singers Choral Society filled Springfield Care Home with music that wrapped around our residents like a warm hug. Familiar Christmas songs sparked smiles, laughter, gentle sing-alongs and moments of reflection that said more than words ever could.

For many of our residents, these songs brought back cherished memories. For all of us, they brought a deep sense of togetherness and joy. This is the true spirit of Christmas. Presence, kindness, and sharing moments that matter.

We cannot thank the Sunshine Singers enough for giving their time and voices so generously. You reminded us how powerful music can be and how it brings people closer, especially at this special time of year.

At Springfield Care Home, we believe care is not just about looking after people. It is about creating meaningful experiences, celebrating life, and making every day feel special.

This Saturday, 13th December 2025, something truly special happened at Springfield Care Home.

The sound of the Chorley Silver Band echoed through our home, and with it came smiles, happy tears, gentle clapping, and memories that reached deep into the heart. For our residents, it was not just music. It was comfort, connection, and the magic of Christmas felt all around.

These are the moments that define Springfield Care Home. A place where laughter is shared, traditions are honoured, and every person feels valued, seen, and at home.

We are so grateful to the for bringing their time, talent, and kindness to our residents. You filled our home with joy and reminded us why community matters so much.

At Springfield Care Home, we do more than provide care. We create moments that stay with you.

We have plenty in store for our residents next week, can't really believe it is only two weeks till Christmas! Monday we have the sunshine singers entertaining in the afternoon. Tuesday Christmas jumper day and Christmas bingo. Wednesday St Oswald's choir will be entertaining us. Thursday we will be having coffee and carols at The Methodist. In the afternoon the nursery children will be singing for us. It's a very exciting time and it is lovely to be part of the community in the spirit of Christmas. ☃️🌲🎅❤️

A reminder to all our families. Next Tuesday 16th December is Christmas jumper day. If your loved one would like to participate, please buy a nice jumper. On boxing day we will be having Christmas PJ day. If Christmas pjs is their thing, it is a good present to buy. This Saturday 13th Chorley silver band are performing 2-4pm all welcome. 🎄🎄
