A wordy post 🙈
Today has been the first day in a long, long time that I can honestly say I felt good.
It’s given me hope that things really will get better. I genuinely think it’s the psychological boost of things finally starting to happen that will get me back to almost normal Joanne 😂
✅ I’ve seen the hand surgeon and now have a date to go into Euxton Hall Hospital for steroid injections in my finger and thumb.
✅ I’ve finally been referred to Haematology – my blood cells aren’t carrying iron around my body properly, which explains the exhaustion and why the menopausal brain fog has been so much worse. The minimum iron saturation levels are 25% - mine vary between.....
7 & 9 % !!!
✅ Physio has referred me to orthotics so I can get a support fitted for my knee.
All of this combined is why I’ve had to cancel and postpone some appointments, which I absolutely hate doing 😟
But today gave me a real boost and reminded me that no feeling is permanent.
I have a couple of appointments left over the next two weeks, and I am open on Good Friday this year 👣
Then we’re off to Egypt for two weeks of sun, sea, vitamin D and fishes 🐠🐟
I know this post is very much about me, but I also think it’s important to say that nothing is permanent, no matter how low you feel.
Sometimes we have to push a little harder and be assertive with professionals to get the help we need, while staying polite and eventually it pays off 💛
