Out and About at Asda ☕🛒

A couple of our lovely residents enjoyed a little trip out to Asda to pick up a few bits and pieces. It’s always nice to browse the shelves, choose your own treats, and feel part of the everyday hustle and bustle.

Of course, no outing is complete without stopping for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. A good chat over a brew makes it even better ☕🍰

Simple trips like these help maintain independence, boost confidence, and keep our residents connected to the community and they’re always full of smiles on the way home 💛

🎶 Music Afternoon at Coniston 🎶

Music afternoons are always a favourite with our residents 💛 The smiles, the singing and the little toe taps say it all.

A familiar song can spark special memories and lift the whole room. It’s amazing how quickly music brings comfort and connection.

🍪 Morning Baking & Afternoon Tea ☕

Our residents enjoyed a lovely baking session where they made their own biscuits from scratch and of course the best part was enjoying them together at afternoon tea! 💛

Baking is such a wonderful activity in a care setting. It supports concentration, coordination and memory, while also encouraging conversation and teamwork. Following simple steps, measuring ingredients and getting hands involved helps keep minds active in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

And let’s be honest… everything tastes better when you’ve made it yourself! 😊

💜 Out and About at Chorley Dementia Action Group💜

Our lovely residents enjoyed a visit to St Laurence’s Church for their wonderful Memory Meets Café ☕✨

It was such a warm and welcoming space, filled with friendly faces, chats, laughter and of course a cuppa and a treat. Community groups like this are so important offering connection, familiarity and meaningful moments for those living with dementia and their families.

A big thank you to everyone involved for making us feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to the next one 💛

Our team took part in Basic Life Support training on Thursday at Coniston House.

It was a really valuable session, giving staff the chance to refresh their knowledge and build confidence in responding to emergency situations. Everyone engaged well and got involved, making it both informative and enjoyable.

Ongoing training like this helps us continue to provide safe, high-quality care for our residents every day.

🍹🧀 Cheeky Mocktails & Cheese Afternoon 🧀🍹

We treated our residents to a little mocktail, cheese and crackers afternoon and it went down a treat! ✨

There were refreshing mocktails poured, tasty cheeses to sample, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere as everyone enjoyed something a little different. Sometimes it’s nice to add a touch of fun and flavour to the day 💛

A simple but special afternoon enjoyed by all 🥂

🎶✨ Music Therapy morning at Coniston House ✨🎶

We enjoyed a wonderful music therapy afternoon, with residents getting hands-on with the instruments and joining in with the rhythm 🎵

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and having such a good boogie 🎶💃

🧧🐉 Celebrating Chinese New Year at Coniston House 🐉🧧

Our residents enjoyed something a little different as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations learning how to write their own names in Chinese ✍️
Each character was carefully copied, stroke by stroke, with plenty of focus and determination. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the challenge and taking pride in their finished work.

☀️🌸 A Little Stroll & Signs of Spring 🌸☀️

While the weather stayed dry and the sun was peeking through, a couple of our residents enjoyed a gentle stroll around the block 🌤️

Along the way, they stopped to admire some beautiful flowers starting to bloom little signs that spring is on its way 🌷🌼

Fresh air and a change of scenery can make all the difference 💛
