I have been a Complementary Health Practitioner and Yoga Teacher since the 1990's. I am passionate about my work and am always enjoy sharing my experience and skills in doing treatments , running Yoga classes and Holistic workshops. I do Deep Tissue Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Facial Rejuvenation Massage and teach one to one yoga or small groups.

Holistic Heaven Sri Lanka Yoga week 25-31st October
Am excited to be offering another week of exploring & enjoying the wonders of this beautiful country ….
There is something truly special about The Rosyth Estate … originally a colonial tea planters house, now a luxurious boutique hotel. Am so grateful to our wonderful hosts Neil & Farzana, the professional chefs & amazing staff & therapists giving us another really memorable week away.
Morning yoga, followed by a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast including pol roti, tropical fruits, yoghurt , juices & green shots.
Then we enjoy an excursion or activity which engages us in local traditions & culture …. Experience a cookery workshop, an artisan tea experience, guided walk of the grounds with the resident naturalist seeing the nature & wildlife all around us. I love seeing the spices growing on the trees & rubber tapped from the tree trunks; one day we visit the shops & markets & another day a local temple or school. You might like to visit the world renowned Elephant Freedom project a short tuk tuk ride away.
After lunch there’s time to relax by the pool or have a treatment ( 2 included on the week) & another optional afternoon yoga session.
Supper is around 7.30 & then there is a blissful candlelit guided relaxation session before bed.
This week allows us to rest & recharge our batteries, eat vibrant healthy food & enjoy lovely treatments & soak up the essence & ambience of this unique place … it truly is the jewel of the Indian Ocean!

Our Ayurveda Retreat at The Rosyth Estate in Sri Lanka this year 17-23rd October is a unique & amazing week of experiencing the ancient practises & philosophy of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda means ‘science of life’ and is a traditional way of treating the mind & body.
Through healthy diet, gentle exercise & really fantastic treatments we can experience balance & deep and profound step towards greater health & wellbeing.
It gives us a chance to remember how to really relax , find that peace, let go of our old burdens. A digital & health detox.
Our personal consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor helps define our dosha ( body & personality type) & what we would like to achieve in our week … through healthy food, daily gentle yoga & evening candlelit meditation, being out in nature, dips in the pool, a precious chance to just ‘be’ , to reset & sleep deeper & better without disruption.
A big part of this is our daily Ayurvedic treatments … lasting up to 2 hours they are truly amazing & beyond anything I have experienced before.
Pindasweda massages use steamed compresses filled with herbs & shirodhara drizzles warm oil over our forehead opening our 3rd eye chakra, the herbal steam is deeply detoxifying & we make wonderful face & body pastes from herbs & spices . I give each guest an Aromatherapy goody bag - natural essential oils & products to enhance our wonderful week away in a beautiful location of the tea plantations in central Sri Lanka. Buckle up, the Chinese New Year of the fire horse, beginning on this solar eclipse/ new moon in Aquarius (17th), is taking us on an exciting & rapid ride of self-discovery. With Uranus squaring the new moon, expect sudden revelations & revolutions spurred on by the fire horse’s desire for truth & freedom, leaping over any limiting boundaries. If you’re already open to new ideas, you’ll take this in your stride; if you’ve enjoyed just walking around the same old paddock: hold on tight!
The last time the fire horse was in control was 1966: political upheaval, technical advances, space/lunar adventures, wars, cultural revolutions & the birth of Star Trek! Expect fiery tensions alongside creative innovations, especially in technology, as humanity explores & comes to accept ETs & cosmic consciousness in all its forms.

Tomorrow’s New Moon in Aquarius arrives as a Solar Eclipse - bringing the unmistakable sense that something in your life is ready to shift.

Eclipses were once feared as harbingers of famine, war and the fall of kings

Moments when the natural order seemed to fracture

Today we understand them differently

They mark important turning points

When the arc of life bends sharply and something already in motion steps forward into the next chapter

This New Moon aligns with the North Node - the point in your natal chart that speaks to the person you are becoming rather than the one you have already been.

Fulfilment here often asks something of you - to step beyond the comfort of the familiar and into territory that may feel unsteady at first.

So what is emerging in your life right now isn’t random change.

It is an important shift away from what could no longer hold you - towards a new vision already taking form

Eclipses move in a nineteen-year rhythm.

In February 2007, the sky held this same configuration - a Solar Eclipse at almost this exact degree.
