If you’re a mum looking to get out of the house, meet new people, and enjoy some relaxed time with your little one, our Mother & Baby Group at Paternoster Care Home will be the perfect place for you.

Starting this May, the group offers a warm, friendly environment where you can chat with other mums and residents and also share experiences, and build supportive connections while your baby enjoys a safe and welcoming space. Whether it’s your first baby or not, everyone is welcome! Come along and be part of a lovely, supportive community.

Residents, care workers, and family members enjoyed cheese, wine, fruit, and music on a lovely sunny day! 🍷🧀

The lovely sunny weather created a warm and uplifting atmosphere, perfect for bringing everyone together outdoors. The gentle breeze and bright blue skies made it a joy to sit outside, relax, and enjoy good company.

Sunshine seemed to lift everyone’s spirits, adding a cheerful glow to the day and making simple moments like sharing food, listening to music, and chatting with loved ones feel even more special. It was one of those days where the weather truly made everything feel brighter and more enjoyable. ☀️

We have started getting our garden summer ready, creating a space that feels fresh, inviting, and easy to enjoy! 🌳🌻

We started by clearing away any winter debris and giving the lawn a good mow, then trim back overgrown plants to encourage healthy growth. Adding colourful flowers like petunias or geraniums can instantly brighten the space, while a few well-placed pots or hanging baskets bring life to patios and corners. We've added simple touches like solar lights and a small herb garden for both beauty and practicality.

With massive effort from our volunteers and residents starting to get involved in gardening we can enjoy and relax in our garden lounge looking out to the garden and our residents can enjoy sunbathing walking or activities in the garden.

Residents had a truly delightful time celebrating Easter at a joyful party shared with their relatives and grandchildren! 💐

The atmosphere was filled with laughter and togetherness as families came together to enjoy the occasion. A special highlight was live singer Tony, whose wonderful music had everyone smiling dancing and joining in.

The grandchildren were especially excited as they took part in a fun-filled Easter egg hunt, eagerly searching for hidden treats! Adding to the charm of the day, residents were thrilled by a visit from some adorable fluffy chicks, bringing a lovely springtime touch. 🐣

To top it all off, our chef created a beautiful Easter cake, which looked as good as it tasted and was enjoyed by everyone as part of the celebrations. 🎂

Easter week has begun with a warm and joyful atmosphere 🌸🐣

Residents have been coming together to celebrate through simple but meaningful traditions. Many have been writing heartfelt cards to family and friends, sharing kind wishes and seasonal cheer.

Creativity is in full bloom with colourful Easter bonnet making, decorated with flowers and festive designs—bringing smiles to everyone involved. Meanwhile, the comforting aroma of freshly baked treats fills the air as cakes, biscuits, and other delights are prepared and enjoyed.

A wonderful time of community, togetherness, and celebration. ✨

The weekly Men’s Club continues to be a valued part of life in the home, offering a relaxed and friendly space for residents to socialise, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company.

Recently, the group welcomed a visit from Fairford Men’s Shed, who delivered an engaging and informative talk. The session sparked plenty of conversation, with residents reminiscing about past hobbies, skills, and experiences, while also learning more about the strong sense of community that Men’s Shed promotes.

Today we celebrated Mother’s Day with a lovely afternoon tea, and everyone was warmly welcomed 🌸☕ It was a wonderful time filled with laughter, delicious treats, and heartfelt moments shared together.

A special thank you to our talented chef for preparing such a beautiful selection for everyone to enjoy 💐 We’re so grateful for the amazing mothers and mother figures who inspire us every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon so special, and Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums out there! 💛
