Shopping with Pamela!
Some retail therapy is always welcome so Pamela hit the shops to stock up on her favourite bits and treated herself to some new face cream.
Sometimes it's the simple things that can make all the difference to a day.

How about this for a signature showstopper?
Edensor threw a Halloween party over the weekend for residents and our friends from Kingsgate Care Home. A delicious spooky feast was enjoyed by all while Tracey serenaded us with classic songs and sing-a-longs.

Pumpkins!
It's that time of year where the Edensor residents pick their favourite squash to carve, with help from the brilliant team, to light Jack-o-Lanterns throughout the centre.

**Please share** This November, Edensor Care Home is delighted to celebrate a very special milestone - the 101st birthday of resident Doris Dyer, who was born on 9th November 1924.
Dorisās life has been profoundly shaped by the events of the Second World War.
Leaving school at a young age to help support her family, she worked in an armaments factory, where she helped produce vital parts for the iconic Spitfire aircraft. To this day, Doris still loves to see and hear Spitfires flying overhead, a stirring reminder of her contribution to history.
As a child, Doris fondly remembers visiting the cinema with her grandmother, where she developed a lifelong love of film and dance. She especially enjoyed watching Fred Astaire glide across the screen and recalls the excitement of seeing āThe Jazz Singerā, the very first talking picture starring Al Jolson.
Over the course of her life, Doris has witnessed incredible change and the reigns of five monarchs, George V, Edward VIII, George VI, Elizabeth II, and now King Charles III.
Weād love to make Dorisās 101st birthday extra special by showering her with birthday cards from near and far!

The team surprised her with a lovely cake, gifts and some decorations to bring birthday celebrations to her bedside.
It's always a wonderful moment for the team to be able to celebrate another year in the life of residents like Betty in our care.

A little music goes a long way...
Last week, we were treated to the wonderful voice of Lilian Lace, who sang classic melodies that had Edensor residents smiling, singing along, and tapping their toes.
Thereās something special about the joy that music brings and it was clear in every note that there were memories and moments shared.
Thank you, Lilian, for bringing such warmth and connection to our community!

To celebrate National Arts Day In Care yesterday, we put paint to paper.
Art therapy can be both relaxing and energising; we make it inclusive wherever possible with different paintbrushes and sponges to help everyone express themselves through bold and vibrant colours.
Here you can see Sab, Edensor's Manager, and team guiding the session - with some beautiful pieces to put on display as a result!

This year, we marked National Alzheimerās Day with one of our residents' favourite pastimes - a joyful afternoon tea.
Many of our residents here, live with Alzheimerās or other forms of dementia.
We are proud to support them in so many ways including Montessori methods, our vintage train carriage for reminiscence and nostalgia, and most importantly, with the compassion and respect that everyone deserves.
