When the tension release is just too good 🥱🥱.

This is my pony Jasper who always gets free massages, I mean it'd be rude not to. I'm sure he enjoys it too.
He had a sore spot on his neck and towards his shoulder area. I managed to get two videos of him releasing this tension and it's so satisfying to see 😌.

A question I get asked alot, what are the benefits of equine massage therapy 🤔? Here are a couple of benefits your horse will feel from getting a massage 💆🏼‍♂️🐴

🌸 Supports the immune system (by getting rid of all those nasty built-up toxins)

🌸 Helps physically and mentally for your horse/pony

If you've had a massage for yourself, you know how much more relaxed and better you feel afterwards. It's just the same for our four legged friends 🐎.

Hi 👋🏼, I'm Emma, a fully qualified and insured Equine sports massage therapist.
I've been qualified for 2yrs now 😲 (where has the time gone?!)
🌷When I first decided to do this course and pursue this job I didn't know what I was getting myself in for. It's rewarding but also hard (there's a few of us about 😅)

The lovely Jesmond having a massage yesterday.

🐎 Jesmond has been seen by me a few times now since I qualified back last June.
🐎 She's an ottb 5yo and has been with her new human over a year now.
🐎 Jesmond is on a rehabilitation program from sustaining not one, but two leg injuries within a very short time frame of one another 🙈. First one was in August on her left hind leg, second one in November on her right hind leg.
🐎 Last week she had an appointment to see if there was any issues with her muscles before coming back into ridden work. All was OK, slight tension in places but nothing worrying. Fast forward to Weds I had a message from her owner to say she'd gone down on her knees in the school and wondered if I was available to check her over.
🐎 Managed to slot her in a Thursday morning appointment, she had some tension in her neck and shoulders. All sorted out with a 45 minute massage whilst also checking over the rest of her muscles.
🐎 Saddler is coming out next week then she'll be back into work.
Here's hoping she has no more accidents and will be happily ridden away this summer 💚💛💚

I'm still here and doing massage therapy for horses ☺️. Been quiet as had a busy 2 months with other work.
Limited availability for appointments in May.
June I'm away quite abit, I have availability for the first two weeks.

Some benefits of Equine massage therapy include

🌸Pain Relief - Relieving the muscles of pain and stress points can help in a variety of ways to your horses; Behaviour, performance and most importantly their comfort.
🌸Massage is also thought to help calm nervous horses and or horses in unfamiliar (or new) surroundings or stressful conditions.

Many of the benefits horses get from massage therapy are the same benefits that we humans get from a massage.
