Player Visits at Our Priority and Partner Schools ⚽
Last week, we were delighted to welcome several GTFC First Team players to our priority and partner schools, giving pupils a truly memorable and inspiring experience.
The purpose of these visits was to give the players a valuable insight into the impact the Foundation delivers in schools as part of our school delivery programmes, while allowing pupils to engage directly with professional footballers and learn more about teamwork, resilience and healthy lifestyles.
On Monday, Jaze Kabia and Justin Amaluzor visited Woodlands Academy, observing Premier League Primary Stars interventions before joining a KS1 multi-sports club, where pupils were fully engaged and excited to take part.
Charles Vernam and Cam McJannet visited William Barcroft for a Q&A session with selected pupils, followed by a girls-only Premier League Primary Stars after-school club. Both players led teams within the session, helping to motivate, encourage and build confidence among participants.
Finally, on Thursday, Doug Tharme and Seb Auton visited Western Primary School for a Q&A session with intervention groups and joined a girls-only football session, providing guidance, support and inspiration throughout.
These player visits are incredibly valuable to our community, helping to inspire young people, boost confidence and raise aspirations — while giving players a meaningful insight into the Foundation’s work within local schools.
