Hi, I’m Hollie

I am based within Delush Spa and treat within the community

I have worked in the beauty industry for more than 18 years so I know how important it is to take care of your wellbeing. Not only do I provide holistic massage treatments to people of all ages and abilities, but I will be an ear to listen, someone with a good understanding of people’s individual needs who will help you

to relax and unwind

I believe in self-care and the power of nature’s ingredients

This is why I advanced my qualifications and knowledge in understanding spectrum disorders, cancer and long term medical conditions. To focus on therapy to help alleviate the issues related to these that can cause great stress, anxiety, aches and pains. I provide an attentive, person-centered approach

For two years, I worked with clients (some non-verbal) who live in supported housing. How many people would benefit from holistic massage if they had access to the right treatments and environment?

• An all-round sensory experience using with the aid and benefits of Aromatherapy oils

• Massage to relieve stresses and tensions

• Treatments as you lay or sit, with support aids, to make you feel comfortable

• In a calming environment with mood lighting and ceiling vision

• Relaxing music through audio or visually

This is what The Rest Room is all about. Each person reacts differently in new environments and has certain anxieties attached to this, some people can't verbally tell you what these are or are going through trauma, which is why it is so so important to home in on each sense that we possess

I have created somewhere homely where clients of all abilities can relax. And, I will always work closely with wellbeing and care sector professionals to provide a better service, with the client's safety as the upmost priority

Holistic massage therapy has a real positive impact on your physical and mental wellbeing, which thankfully now alot more awareness is being raised. We are realizing just how hugely important this is to us and the people around us

It's been a busy year so far, lot's of new faces for Wellbeing treatments at the salon which is fantastic. So thankful for your recommendations and mostly that I've become part of your self care management plan 🙌🏻💆🏼‍♀️

✴️60 minute Wellbeing treatments are £50
❇️30 minute Wellbeing treatments are £35

A 10 minute over the phone consultation can be arranged to talk over your medical history, current conditions or sensory needs, this way I can professionally and safely judge if a Wellbeing treatment and Treatment Plan can be put together for you 😊

There are all sorts of combinations I can put together, to make your treatment time completely individual to you

Wellbeing treatments can include full body massage, back massage, hot stone therapy, Reiki, facials, scalp, heated mitts or booties & nail care

I work completely on a person centred basis

Some clients are even funded through foundations they have applied to, which for some of you maybe an option to think about tapping into! 👌🏻 👀

Later this year I am hoping to start a specialist Lymphedema massage course which will see me train online aswell as hands on practical training in Stafford, I always feel this is the best way to learn for me, hands on funnily enough!

I know alot of you suffer with it and massage can be a great relief for it!

“I’ve been seeing Hollie for quite a long time now, my main illnesses are M.E. and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome as well as POTS and chronic migraines so I really struggle with lots of different types of pain as well as muscle spasms and autonomic issues such as poor circulation.

Hollie treats me very holistically and no two massages are ever the same as with each massage Hollie always addresses the issues I’ve been experiencing recently; Hollie is also really attuned to what she is doing and is very well practiced and experienced and can also prick up other problem areas even I’m not aware of.

Since having regular treatments with Hollie my circulation has improved a lot, my migraines have been more manageable. The massages also aid in giving me relief from my pain as I’m one of these people that doesn’t just like to treat myself with medication alone and I like to use other treatments alongside medication and I see coming for massages with Hollie as massage therapy and part of my holistic approach to living with chronic illnesses.

As well as the treatments I have addressing my physical health I also find they address my emotional wellbeing too which I find personally is really important to address especially when you do have chronic health problems.

I see Hollie at Delush and she has a great set up with a profiling massage bed and there was one occasion when Hollie kindly came to my home so it’s good to know that both options are there.

I also love Hollie’s home set-up when she treated me at home. She treated me where I felt most comfortable and she brought music and an aromatherapy diffuser with her to bring the spa experience to me at home.

I see Hollie every 2 or 3 weeks and I find this works best for me.

I find Hollie very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and really clued up when it comes to treating people with chronic illnesses/disabilities and she’ll just go with what works best for you as a person. For example I know for me with my Ehlers-Danlos Hollie gives me a great massage but is at the same time mindful not to cause a dislocation or is careful around areas where I’ve had recent dislocation.

I’d highly recommend Hollie and her Rest Room especially if you do have a chronic illness, disability or medical condition or illness because of the additional knowledge and experience Hollie has in treating clients with various medical conditions. Her treatments target your problem symptoms so it’s very different to a standard massage you’d get in a salon so you’ll be guaranteed to have a better experience and feel the benefits more from the treatment Hollie gives you, well this is the experience I’ve had comparing salon massages to Hollie’s massages.”

This week is 5 years since I've had The Rest Room up and running and this year marks 20 years of being fully qualified... can't believe it!...time flies! 🥳😱🤯

I absolutely love my job, being out in the community and treating clients at the salon 💆🏼‍♀️ it's a great balance 😊

I currently treat an array of clients who live with the following...

Cancer
COPD
MS
ME
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Osteoporosis
Epilepsy
Ehlers Danlos
POTS
Fibromyalgia
& so on

Nearly all of my additional needs clients are non verbal. I have certainly become part of their routine now which is amazing and completely what I set out to achieve. Building up good rapport and friendships with them so that they trust I'm going to look after them 🥰
Some clients even have a Makaton sign for me and some know the routine that well that they don't have to be prompted to remove socks and shoes etc, as soon as they see me they're whipping them off ready haha 😆...again proving holistic treatments are massively beneficial to physical, mental, emotional wellbeing & routine
