Congratulations to Cassidy Mike Cam from the University of Worcester for successfully completing placement. They have worked very hard and learnt about many new conditions in 6 weeks. We have seen people with very complex problems including a motorbiker recovering from 18+ fractures, neck fracture, double spinal fusion, Motor Neurone Disease,, Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy, Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis, Stroke and several types of Parkinson's disease as well as lots of bad backs and shoulder pain.

Congratulations to Worcester Masters student Andrew (R) previously a physio assistant at the QE on completing placement with excellence in 8/10 learning outcomes. Ready for a very well deserved break! Might have converted him to neuro physio 😁 Sheffield Uni "Prince Alfie of Alfrick" (L) has 4 weeks more on placement but is on target to qualify and again is very keen to work in neuro physio which is great news for everyone with Parkinson's, stroke, TBI, MS and spinal cord injuries

This preventative model could work well in rural Herefordshire and Worcestershire. During physio assessments we are continually finding pts with high blood pressure, osteoporosis etc which can lead to bigger problems such as strokes, heart attacks and broken hips

Great work from students Alfie ( Sheffield Uni) and Andrew ( University of Worcester) setting up Siri Speech to Text controls on a phone for a pt who struggles to type due to peripheral neuropathy, helping pts post stroke exercise in the gym, swimming pool and learning to walk again, plus completing respiratory exercises to improve a neuro pt breathing and cough ability 👏👏👏
