The Friends of Slaidburn Country Practice are holding their annual Christmas Raffle 🎄🎅🏻. They would be grateful donations of raffle prizes. These can be left at Slaidburn Health Centre. The raffle will be drawn on the 17th December.

Slaidburn Health Centre and GP Practices in East Lancashire are closed today from 1pm-6.30pm for Protected Learning Time. This enables practices to provide dedicated training to their staff.
We are also using this time to allow for important IT equipment to be replaced at the health centre.
For all life-threatening medical emergencies please ring 999.
If you feel you have an urgent request that cannot wait until tomorrow, provisions have been made for urgent triage, please ring 111.
For all routine requests for results, appointments, prescriptions, and general queries please ring the health centre tomorrow.
The health centre is open as usual for medication to be collected.

Laboratory Delays at ELHT

We are aware some blood samples have been rejected by the hospital laboratory due to being deemed "too old" for testing. We want to reassure our patients that these delays are not due to any actions by our Practice staff. This issue originates at the hospital and is currently affecting all GP practices in the area.

We understand how frustrating it is to be asked to return for a second blood test, and we share that frustration. These situations place an additional strain on both patients and our team, who must allocate further time and resources to repeat

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and update you as more information becomes available.
