Hello, My name is Lorraine and I would like to
introduce you to Birth Empowerment , a modern Antenatal workshop led myself, by an experienced practising midwife ❤️

My workshops are relaxed, informal ,evidence based and practical .I aim to prepare you for any eventuality in Labour and Birth whether you have a Homebirth , Waterbirth , assisted delivery or a Caesarean Section.

Empowerment workshops provide first class teaching face to face ,led by an experienced professional with 43 years of service.

My experience as a Midwife has developed over many years and I have acquired the skills and knowledge in all aspects of Midwifery care . During my Career I have always remained passionate about Midwifery and believed knowledge is the key to making safe choices , preparing for birth and parenthood .

Becoming new Parents is exciting but can also be unsettling . I want to inspire you to be confident and prepared for your birth and parenthood .

Workshops will also offer you the opportunity to meet other Parents ,make new friends and build a supportive net work . My workshops also prepare birthing partners for their role in this amazing life experience.

Come along and also gain knowledge in Feeding and practical skills to confidently manage those first few crucial weeks .

A fabric womb made by Angélique du Coudray, a French midwife who was commissioned by King Louis XV to reduce infant mortality. From 1760 to 1783, she traveled all over France, visiting poor rural women and sharing her extensive knowledge with them. It is estimated that she trained some 10,000 women.
Du Coudray also invented the first lifesize obstetrical mannequin, for practicing mock births, and published a well-received midwifery textbook
