Our home is all dressed up for Halloween! 🎃 From spooky skeletons to glowing pumpkins, our residents and team had a frightfully fun time decorating together.

What a truly wonderful day we had celebrating Kath’s 103rd birthday here at Silver Oaks Care Home! 🎉💐

Thank you to everyone who helped make Kath’s special day so memorable - from the children at Whitwick St John the Baptist Primary, Penguin Preschool and Whitwick Holy Cross School, to our wonderful staff, local MP Amanda Hack and visitors from RAF Cranwell and the WAAF.

Kath was surrounded by flowers, cards, gifts and friends. We made sure she had the full “Silver Service” treatment to mark this incredible milestone. 🌸

She told us it was one of her best birthdays ever and we couldn’t be happier to have celebrated such a remarkable lady. 🎂💐

On 9th October 2025, Kath, a proud Women’s Auxiliary Air Force veteran, will be turning 103 years old! 🥳💙✈️

She is an extraordinary woman who served her country with pride and continues to inspire everyone who knows her. We would love to make her birthday extra special by surrounding her with messages, cards, and well-wishes from the community.

Autumn has well and truly arrived at Silver Oaks 🍂
Our residents have been getting creative with seasonal crafts – from clay pumpkins and colourful leaves to garlands that now brighten our home. Every decoration you see around Silver Oaks has been lovingly handmade by our residents, making the season feel even more special. 🎃✨
