We hear / read alot about generational trauma, trauma as pain that’s passed down, the fear, the survival responses, the stuck nervous systems but like to share a wee story of generational love, to show just how much of an effect that can have too, in the most magical way. 💞
I was gifted the teddy in the picture from my grandparents, around 31 years ago and he’s never left my side - that’s how important this wee bear is. He’s came on every holiday, every trip, saw all my precious moments and caught my tears for my full life. Also pictured here is my daughter & when she was around 3, I passed our little bear onto her. I’ve watched over the last 4 years just how much magic he still contains, she takes him to bed every night, he sees all her precious moments, he’s her go to when she’s sad and as you can see here, he’s her play buddy when she needs him (she dressed him to match her) 🥹. And while trauma can be inherited, so can regulation, reassurance, peace, joy & unconditional love too. Eternally grateful for this gift, always. 💞✨
I never thought I’d get another tattoo as now I’m picky with what goes into my body I didn’t feel like it aligned with me but I knew I needed to make this memory & hold it close forever.
Thank you for putting this together & helping me through the pain 😂💞
