5 ‘woo woo’ things that keep me going & save me daily.
1. Herbal teas have been a game changer. I lived off coffee & tea - I still drink coffee don’t get me wrong! But a little lemon balm tea at the end of the day is always a good go to.
2. I avoid sunglasses first thing - I use to wear sunglasses 24/7 as I had very light sensitive eyes & could easily trigger migraines but this has really improved since I’ve stopped wearing them so much. Morning sunlight in my eyes helps the brain wake up properly which helps improve sleep & regulate hormones.
3. Daily journaling really helps me off load my day, empty my mind & also reflect on all the positives & helps me to be more grateful.
4.Cold water therapy - no shock there, if you’ve even glanced at my page you’ll know this is a biggy for me! Cold water therapy has many amazing benefits but for me, personally, it’s my mental health life line. It’s silence, peace, me, my breath & the cold.
5. Intentional breathing. The breath is literally magic. The way we can change the pace, the depth, the length! These things all matter and the more we breathe intentionally the more the breath can help us regulate in the way we need to.
