It’s time for our community Autumn Cleanse. As a high Pitta girl I ADORE this cleanse as I am so ready for it after the summer months. As Pitta dosha governs the summer months and also largely governs our digestive system we can tend to come out of the summer hols with weakened digestion and a general feeling of being a bit ‘burnt out’. Not ideal when we have the colder, darker months dawning ahead of us. This cleanse is the perfect time to clear excess pitta dosha from our systems (anything that feels like heat or inflammation), strengthen our digestive & immune systems and generally prepare the body for this seasonal transition. Think warm, well-spiced seasonal foods, self-massage, supportive herbs, some new daily rituals to try and some seasonal lifestyle adjustments and additions 🙌🏻🙌🏻 the official week kicks off w/c 22nd Sept, just after equinox. However, with a growing community hosted in a private Facebook group you can pick the best week for you any time until around the end of October. 17,000 children killed so far. A classroom full every day so far. No end in sight so far. They read the names for 10 hours straight. I went to bear witness for half of that. My heart breaks a little more each day but I hold my pain quietly and pray that we all remember our humanity before it’s too late 🕊️🇵🇸 we are truly not free until we are all free. May their souls find peace once more.

My incredibly talented friend built this sauna after a chat around a fire pit. He’s usually found retro fitting vans into campers or building bespoke bits of furniture so it wasn’t a huge leap for him to tackle a horse trailer and what a job he has done 🥰🥰 Those who have come and tried it all love it and it really deepens other healing modalities such as massage or even sinking into a sound bath post sweat. Sweat therapy in Ayurveda is an ancient practice, deeply therapeutic and a wonderful antidote to the dry, cool, windy elements which Autumn gives us. You can enjoy a session in this either as part of an event here or contact me for exclusive use (either here or another venue). I will be running some sessions especially for those taking part in my seasonal cleanse and live locally enough to get down and sweat it out.
