It’s your last chance to nominate your favourite baby, toddler, and children’s businesses for the Cumbria Baby & Children’s Business Awards 2026! 🎉

We’ve been blown away by the number of nominations so far — but if you haven’t voted yet, there’s still time to give your favourite local business the recognition they deserve! 💛

✨ How it works:
👉 Nominations close at 9PM on Friday 14th November 2025.
👉 The five businesses with the most nominations in each category will become our finalists!
👉 Finalists will then go through to the public vote, with winners announced at our Awards Evening in March 2026!

This week at Sing and Sign West Cumbria...

Our Babes families have been exploring "consistency" and "repetition". We discuss how being consistent with routines, words, songs and rhymes helps babies understand what is happening next and therefore keeps babies calmer and more content.

Our Stage 1s have focused on "ouch" and all such useful signs such as medicine, ill, doctor and all better. Giving your babies the tools to tell you when they're in pain and *where* they're in pain is invaluable before speech!

Our Stage 2s have been looking at the sounds A-H as a gentle introduction to phonics. As part of our surprise bag we play with initial sounds of props to encourage listening for sounds that make up words.

Completely overwhelmed to be nominated in the newly launched Cumbria Baby and Children's Business Awards 2026! Thank you to all you wonderful people who have nominated Sing and Sign West Cumbria. 😍

Nominations are still open for another week, so you haven't voted yet, you haven't missed the boat. Just take 30 seconds to nominate Sing and Sign West Cumbria in the Cumbria Baby and Children's Awards 2026.

✨ How it works:
You can nominate in as many categories as you like.
Nominations close 9:00pm on 14th November 2025.

Are you thinking of joining Sing & Sign West Cumbria for our Spring Term?

NOW is a good time to add your name to the waiting list to be included in priority booking. If you join the waiting lists, keep an eye on your inbox on 21st November and you'll receive an email with your invitation to secure your place in our Spring Term.

Take a look through the proposed timetable and visit our booking site to register your interest for that Stage (specify in additional information which venue/time you are interested in). The more people that register their interest, the more likely that class will run!

(Currently attending a class?? Your priority booking slot will open on the Monday 17th November! Keep an eye on your emails!)

Remaining spaces for general booking will open on Monday 24th November.
