To celebrate Mother’s Day, I am offering 30-minute massages for just £20 on Saturday 14th March, you have the option to make an additional donation if you wish.

❤ 100% of the proceeds from all massages booked and donations made will going to charity, this will be the local Allerdale Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society Group.

Most of you will know how MS has directly affected my family and although there is no cure, there are real advancements in treatments to help with the symptoms and slow its progress. Local MS groups also provide invaluable support, guidance, and activities for people who have been diagnosed with MS and for their families.

Spring is here 🌷🐴 and it’s that time of year when the fittening work starts building 💪✨

Longer days mean more time in the saddle, building up stamina and getting everyone feeling strong again… but it’s also a good reminder not to skip the underpinning basics.

Flexibility. Transitions. Straightness. Rhythm. The “boring” stuff that really isn’t boring at all 😉 That solid foundation makes all the difference when the workload increases.

Slowly building, keeping it correct, and setting them up to feel confident and comfortable as the season gets going 🌿

Wow… I am completely overwhelmed by the interest in LIFT & LENGTHEN! 🎉

I have already increased the class numbers — but the 10th March class is now FULL 🙌

There is now a waitlist in operation, so if you’d still like a space, make sure you add your name.

The class on 17th March will open for booking on 10th March. If the interest and demand remains high, I will look at increasing the class capacity again.

Classes will run for an initial 8-week block from 10th March until 28th April so I can gauge interest. If the interest is there, the class will continue 🙌

📍 Where: Dean School Sports Hall, CA14 4TH
🕒 When: Tuesdays 6.45 – 7.45pm
💷 Cost: £8.00 per class

How do I sign up?
All bookings and payments must be made via Gymcatch (you will need to create a free account) — I’ve included the links below 👇

Gymcatch is a simple online booking app that lets you book and pay for classes securely and manage your sessions in one place.

What you need to know:
🔹 I have mats available, or you’re welcome to bring your own.
🔹 I have 2kg dumbbells for the first section of class. If you’d like heavier or lighter weights, please bring your own.
🔹 All exercises can be done without weights.
🔹 There will initially be 10 spaces available. If the class proves popular, I’ll increase capacity — this is currently limited by the equipment I have.
🔹 This class is suitable for all abilities, provided you have no medical reason that prevents you from exercising but you must be 18years or older

A balanced 60-minute class combining strength and light cardio with mobility and stability work. No jumps or impact, making it suitable for all abilities and ages. Build strength, improve movement, and leave feeling strong and supported.

Longer days, lighter evenings and spring officially arrives on Sunday 🌷✨ (even if the weather hasn’t quite got the memo yet 🌧️🙈).

There’s just something about this time of year that makes you want to reset a little — get moving more, breathe in some fresh air, and focus on feeling good again 💪🌿

Here’s to brighter mornings, after-work walks, and doing a little something each day for our fitness and wellbeing… even if we’re still wearing a coat and dodging the rain! ☔😂

New fitness classes are coming! 💪✨

I’m planning to launch LIFT & LENGTHEN on Tuesday evenings from 10th March, with a 6.30pm or 6.45pm start time (final details TBC).

A balanced 60-minute class combining strength and light cardio with mobility and stability work. No jumps or impact, making it suitable for all abilities and ages. Build strength, improve movement, and leave feeling strong and supported 🙌

💚 A little announcement… 💚

From March, I will no longer be teaching Fitness Pilates at Cockermouth Leisure Centre. This has been a really hard decision, and there isn’t one single factor that led to it. Right now, I’m needing a bit more flexibility in both my work and personal life, and this feels like the right step for me.

I’ve been teaching for GLL for the past 8 years, between Workington and Cockermouth, and I’ve genuinely loved it — especially meeting and teaching so many wonderful people along the way. Thank you to everyone who has supported my classes over the years ❤️

✨ Fear not! ✨ I’m currently looking at introducing a community class, so please watch this space… more to come soon!

Nothing confirmed just yet, but if it happens it wouldn’t until from March at the earliest and would likely run as an evening class in the Dean / Greysouthen / Ullock area (hopefully 🤞).

❄️🕯️ Winter is here, and with shorter days and longer nights, it’s completely normal to feel your mood shift.

Less daylight can affect our energy, motivation, and overall mental wellbeing — so if you’re feeling a little low or more tired than usual, you’re not alone.

Here are a few small ways to support your mental health this season:
🕯️ Get outside during daylight when you can
💬 Stay connected with friends and family
✨ Keep a simple routine (even a very gentle one)
🌿 Make time for things that calm your mind
💙 Be kind to yourself — winter can be tough

Remember: taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.

There’s something so comforting about a warm bowl on a cold day — and the best part? Soups are wholesome, healthy, and super easy to batch-prepare for the week ahead.
