🎄 Christmas at Dalton Court 🎄

Christmas morning at Dalton Court was filled with warmth, laughter, and festive cheer. Residents enjoyed a relaxed continental breakfast before settling in to open their presents, all while listening to much-loved Christmas songs that truly set the mood. It was especially lovely to see families joining us to share in the celebrations, making the morning feel extra special and full of joy.

After a wonderful start to the day, residents then sat down to enjoy a delicious three-course Christmas lunch, prepared and served with care.

In the afternoon, residents gathered together in the lounges, getting cosy under their blankets to watch Christmas movies. With hot chocolate and biscuits in hand, it was the perfect, relaxing way to spend the afternoon.

🎄 Our Final Entertainment Group of the Year at Dalton Court Care Home 🎄

THE MOUTHFUL CHOIR

As we welcome our final entertainment group of the year, we can’t help but reflect on what an absolutely amazing month it has been here at Dalton Court 💖

December has been filled with joy, laughter, music and togetherness. We’ve loved welcoming so many wonderful visitors – from choirs, independent singers and instrumental bands to local schools, dancers, and familiar friendly faces who always bring a smile 😊

Alongside our visitors, residents have enjoyed a whole host of festive activities including Christmas bingo, winter word puzzles, Christmas-themed craft sessions, classic Christmas stories, carol singing, Christmas quizzes, musical instrument playing and SOOO much more 🎶🎨📖

The atmosphere has been truly magical, with staff and residents sharing special moments, festive cheer and lots of laughs along the way ✨

Now, the excitement is building as staff and residents are patiently waiting for the much-anticipated Christmas Dinner this Thursday 🍽️🎅 A true highlight of the season! Keep an eye out for our upcoming post where we’ll be sharing exactly what everyone enjoyed at the Christmas feast 👀🎄

We were delighted to welcome Singer Sam to perform at our residents’ Christmas party, bringing a wonderful festive atmosphere to the afternoon. Sam treated everyone to a fantastic selection of Christmas classics and well-loved songs, which had residents smiling, singing along, and tapping their feet. 🎄🎶

The performance created a lovely sense of togetherness and joy, making the celebration feel extra special. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the music, and it was heart-warming to see so many joining in and reminiscing through song. A big thank you to Sam for helping us make our Christmas party such a memorable and uplifting occasion for everyone.

We had a wonderful afternoon with the talented Laura, who came to our home and filled it with the beautiful sound of traditional Christmas carols commonly sung in churches, along with other much-loved Christmas songs ✨

The familiar melodies brought back special memories and created a calm, festive atmosphere, with lots of smiles and gentle sing-alongs from our residents.

Thank you, Laura, for sharing your lovely voice and helping us celebrate the season – it was truly enjoyed by all 💖🎤

🎶🔔 Bell Ringer Performance at Dalton Court Care Home 🔔🎶

On Monday 15th December, we were delighted to welcome a wonderful bell ringer performance here at Dalton Court Care Home. The sound of the bells filled the home with festive cheer and brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces.

Residents enjoyed listening along, reminiscing, and soaking up the joyful atmosphere — it was a truly uplifting afternoon and a lovely way to celebrate the season together. Moments like these mean so much and create lasting memories for everyone involved. ❤️

A big thank you to our talented performers for sharing their time and music with us. We are already looking forward to welcoming you back!

🎶 A Beautiful Visit from the Carnegie Choir 🎶

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the Carnegie Choir to Dalton Court Care Home, and what a wonderful visit it was 💛

Our residents were completely locked in from the very first song, watching and listening with smiles on their faces throughout. Many of our residents have sung in choirs in the past, so this visit was especially meaningful and brought back some very special memories.

There was plenty of singing along, tapping feet, and joyful moments as the choir filled our home with their amazing voices and uplifting music 🎵

A huge thank you to the Carnegie Singers Workington Carnegie Theatre & Arts Centre for taking the time to visit us and share such a lovely experience with our residents — it was truly appreciated by everyone.

Our residents are very much looking forward to a wonderful afternoon filled with uplifting music, community spirit, and a very special visit. A big thank you to the band and the Mayor for taking the time to come and share this moment with us — it truly means a lot to our residents and team 💛

🎄 December Activities & Entertainment at Dalton Court! 🎄

We’re excited to share a little preview of what’s happening in our home this month!

The first picture shows our weekly activities schedule, highlighting all the festive sessions and meaningful moments planned as we head toward Christmas week. From crafts to reminiscence, games to gentle movement—there’s plenty to keep everyone engaged and in the spirit of the season!

The second picture is our December entertainment calendar, filled with the wonderful performers who will be visiting us throughout the month. Residents can look forward to a fantastic mix of singers, dancers, instrumental performances, and more as we celebrate this magical time of year together.

It’s shaping up to be a joyful December here at Dalton Court, and we can’t wait to share these moments with our residents and families. ❤️✨
