Consider your shoes. 🤔

Do they allow your foot to function optimally? Or is your heel elevated, with your toes squashed & elevated too??

That ache may be easier to fix than anyone had let on 🤔

This is interesting..🤔🧐

From birth, your tongue is actually connected to your toes through an intricate network of connective tissue known as fascia.

If your tongue is not resting correctly in your mouth due to mouth breathing, things can get out of alignment in your mouth and the rest of your body.
Tongue posture can lead to a foot imbalance and vice versa because the tongue guides all myofascial continuity structures that run from the inner arch of the foot up through the middle of the body to the tongue and jaw muscles.

When the tongue sits on top of the palate, it seals the oral cavity and holds the throat open like a tent. These muscles support the neck, keep your posture straight, help you breathe, and maintain your posture upright.
Your tongue also acts as a rudder and support system through a fascial line, and when the tongue is down, we breathe through our mouth, and the head falls forward due to lack of support, which leads to poor posture and increased energy expenditure.

The ancients knew that energy ie Prana & Qi run through our fascia. Modern science is only just catching up & confirming what Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong etc have been telling us for millennia 🙏

Health, Fitness & Me

I’m fortunate as i enjoy movement; i enjoy finding out how the human body moves and what restricts us from achieving our full potential. I have found that any activity or exercise is 50% mental & 50% physical. Often the hardest part of any activity is simply putting the clothing on and getting out the door, once a person has achieved this they’re more than half way there.

Some are motivated & have the knowledge to make progress & achieve their goals on their own; others the knowledge that they’ll be training alongside their peers does the job and for others the inclusion of a personal trainer reaps dividends. Whichever category one finds themselves in it’s important not to judge or compare oneself with others.

We all have challenges which ebb & flow as we go through life. The goal is always to try to achieve a little more today than we did yesterday.

I have a long background of being involved with training & physical activity, I have been instructing on a one to one & group basis since 1999. More recently, December 2016, i became self employed instructing & coaching people in various disciplines including Yoga, weight training, bodyweight training, boxing for fitness and nutrition.
