Our residents have been busy baking and enjoying delicious homemade scones. We made a batch of cheese and plain. Everyone had great fun particularly the eating part. They were delicious. Which do you prefer plain or cheese?

A huge thank you to Carl Miller for inviting our residents at Foxburrow Grange to enjoy a truly spectacular evening at Castle Park’s Enlightened . The enchanting interactive light display, set in the stunning surroundings of Castle Park, was simply out of this world. One of our residents summed it up perfectly: “It was magical.”
Residents, colleagues, friends, and family all came together to share this special experience, making wonderful memories and enjoying a truly unforgettable evening.

What’s Christmas without a fun photoshoot?
At Foxburrow Grange our Wellbeing Team have created a beautiful festive setting for a fantastic opportunity for friends and family to come along and have a memorable Christmas photograph with their loved ones. Some of our residents were eager to have a go already.

🎄✨ Foxburrow Grange Christmas Bazaar ✨🎄
This year we celebrated Christmas in true festive style. From fabulous Christmas stalls featuring home-baked treats and beautifully handcrafted gifts to live entertainment counting down to Christmas. There was something for everyone to enjoy.
It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, the local community and colleagues enjoying a lovely afternoon with our residents. Our beautiful Santa’s Grotto was very popular along with our much-loved Christmas raffle, making it a truly memorable day.
With many prizes up for grabs, three of our lucky residents were raffle winners adding even more joy to the day.
Huge thanks to our dedicated and inspirational well being team who organised the event.

PANTOMINE TIME AT FOXBURROW GRANGE.
We all had a wonderful time as we came together for a truly magical Christmas pantomime with Frederick Douglas.
The home was filled with laughter, festive cheer, and plenty of sing-alongs.
Our amazing care team even joined in the performance making the day extra special and full of heart. A wonderful celebration to kick off the Christmas season.

Here is a post that we missed to upload but wanted to share with you as we had such a great time. We were delighted to be invited to Yarra Farm to meet the animals and celebrate Guy Fawkes Night with a bonfire and marshmallows. Our residents loved getting up close with the animals, feeding them, giving them a pat and enjoying their company. Afterwards everyone gathered around the fire for sweet treats and delicious homemade pumpkin soup. A huge thank you to Yarra Farm for hosting us and creating such a memorable time.

We will be taking part in Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 11 December. By pulling on our Christmassy knits and donating we will be supporting to help children in the UK and around the world. We can't wait to see everyone's festive attire and at the same time raise funds for such a worthwhile charity.

Celebrating International World Kindness Day with our tree of kind words.
Our residents and staff joined together to share uplifting quotes, kind messages, and heartfelt notes to loved ones, proudly hanging them on our Kindness Tree for all to see. The smiles that appeared as people read the thoughtful words written were truly priceless. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness. Something worth celebrating not just today but every day.

We had a touching and emotional day honouring those who gave so much to give us the life we live today. Our residents and colleagues all joined together as we played The Last Post followed by a two-minute silence. Residents then read aloud poems such as In Flanders Fields, Remembrance Day and The Red Poppy. Many residents shared personal stories from their time in service which were fascinating to listen to. We also created flower baskets adding the names of lost loved ones alongside our handcrafted poppies given to each resident to wear.
During the afternoon we held a church service with tea and cake, taking time together to reflect and remember.

Pottery Throwdown at Foxborrow Grange.
Our residents have really got hands on and very creative during our pottery session. With a little assistance we crafted a wonderful variety of pieces from charming plant pots and photo holders to unique tea coasters. An enjoyable time was had by all.
