Julian stayed at St Helena Hospice over Christmas 2023, supported by our amazing team. His wife, Lucy, remembers that time with fondness:

"I have really fond memories of that time, as weird as that sounds. We did have Christmas Day there. My mum and her partner came, and we had the lounge for the whole afternoon. My mum brought food, we unwrapped Everlie’s presents in the living room, so that Julian could be aware. That was our first and only Christmas with Julian and Everlie together. It was really special, really lovely."

We couldn’t provide this care, comfort, and warmth without you. Your support ensures that families like Julian and Lucy’s can experience moments of joy and togetherness, even in difficult times. 🧡

At the weekend our incredible staff and volunteers performed Cinderella.

They have spent months of their own time, creating this fantastic panto to raise vital funds for local families who need our care. The laughter, the costumes, the energy on stage was all down to their passion and generosity!

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Our wonderful volunteers are at the heart of what we do. We wouldn’t be here without you!

Join us for the St Helena Hospice Christmas Bazaar at Books, Brew & Boutique on Peartree Road, Stanway 🎄. We're open today from 9am to 5pm and tomorrow from 10am to 4pm, offering a delightful selection of vintage and pre-loved gifts for everyone on your list.

There’s plenty to browse and buy, including Christmas decorations, unused gift bags and wrapping paper, cosmetic gifts and gift sets, festive clothing and jumpers, and thoughtful Christmas hampers.

St Helena’s iconic Christmas Tree-cycle returns in 2026, and we’re aiming to make it bigger and bolder than ever. 🎄

If you live within postcodes CO1–CO9 or CO11–CO16, you can take part by registering your real tree before 4th January 2026. Our wonderful volunteers will collect it between 9th and 11th January and we’ll gratefully accept any donation you can give in return.
