I've seen 10 children for Reflexology this half term. Here's some things that might surprise you...

👣 The youngest was 4 and the eldest was 16

👣 I've seen more boys than girls

👣 One of the most common reasons parents bring their children to see me is to relieve anxiety

👣 Children often respond faster to treatment than adults, with just 2 or 3 sessions needed before the benefits are seen or felt

👣 EVERY child enjoyed their session. Children are the best critics and painfully honest at times! No child will sit for 30 minutes if they're not comfortable and relaxed

What does good quality rest look like?

On her last visit, my client wore her Oura wellness ring during her Reflexology session. The next day she sent me some screen shots of what happened... this is so interesting!!

The second slide shows the drop in her heart rate during her treatment.

The third slide shows how long she slept for during her treatment.

In one hour, 27 minutes of sleep was recorded with 5 minutes of that being 'deep sleep' and her heart rate dropped dramatically!

Reflexology works to calm the nervous system quickly, putting the body and mind into 'rest and repair' mode.

Today has been a particularly tough day at the Hospice, but this put a smile on my face 😊

Dear Tara,

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your kindness towards Mum and us in the last months of her life.

Mum had never in her 81 years had any kind of massage until her Reflexology sessions with you... and she absolutely loved them.

Even as she became more unwell, she was focussed on how she was going to be able to have her sessions with you!

So thank you so much for brightening her days and in her last months, giving her a new experience.

What you do at the Hospice is such a wonderful thing.

Happy February!

We're slowly creeping towards lighter days and warmer times 🌱

January has been a really busy month which I'm very grateful for. When not in the treatment room I've been trying to work on myself and my own wellbeing which I'm already feeling the benefits of.

If January has felt heavy, a new month brings another opportunity to start carving out some time to prioritise your own health and wellness.
