Black Friday Thoughts...
I had a good think about this one and decided not to offer Black Friday discounts on my therapies, and here's why ππΌ
π€ It's just me! There's no real margin 'wriggle room' in what I do. My outgoings remain the same so if I discount my treatments, it means I have to book more in to earn the same which is not what I'm about
π€ I put my heart and soul into your sessions and don't want to under value what I do. From the moment you reach out, I'm planning your treatments to ensure you get exactly what you need from them
π€ My clients book 1, 2 or even 3 months in advance. Usually at specific times in the day, week or month when they know they will really need it. I don't want them to feel I'm more interested in attracting new clients at a discount. Or worse still, have them change their appointments to fit with an offer period
π€ I believe I price my treatments fairly in the first place. I could charge more, or offer discounts to attract new clients, but I want you to stay! Looking after your wellbeing is ongoing. Offering discounts often attracts the wrong type of client. Ones that will move on when they spot a cheaper therapist, and that's not what I'm trying to do here
Black Friday works for the big companies who are over charging us all year round to compensate for the discounts they offer seasonly.
Please try and support small independent businesses where you can. If they are offering discounts for Black Friday, its probably at a loss!
I am forever grateful for my clients who keep coming back despite the continued rise in the cost of living, and it being a particularly expensive time of year ππ»
