The impact of an Alchemy Sound Bath is immediately felt.

When I first layed down for the session with Annalika, my body and mind were already exhausted — sleep-deprived, aching, and carrying the weight of two long days of constant painting and preparation at the Centre.

As the bowls began to sound, I noticed my thoughts wandering at times. Rather than resisting, I gently returned my attention to the tones and allowed myself to soften into them. The more I surrendered to the sound, the more my body relaxed. My breathing slowed. My thoughts began to quiet. Time seemed to dissolve.

All the mental noise — the unfinished tasks, the planning, the pressure — gradually fell away. What remained was a deep sense of presence. A lightness. A calm that I realised I hadn’t felt in a long time.

The effects were almost immediate. I woke the next morning feeling renewed — rested, clear-minded, quietly alert, and at ease.

I genuinely encourage anyone feeling overstimulated, tired, or mentally busy to come and experience this for themselves.

Have you ever wondered whether your dreams are trying to tell you something?

Recurring dreams, vivid nightmares, and emotionally charged dreamscapes often point to unresolved stress, trauma, or deeply held patterns within the subconscious. Yet most of us wake up, brush them aside, and carry on—never learning how to work with them.

This workshop offers a different approach.

We are pleased to welcome Charlie, one of the UK’s most experienced lucid dreaming coaches, with over 20 years of practical experience helping people understand, navigate, and consciously engage with their dream world.

For the first time, Charlie will be leading a lucid dreaming workshop in Colchester, Essex—guiding participants through how dreams form, why they repeat, and how lucid awareness can become a powerful tool for insight, healing, and integration.

Places are limited. This is a rare opportunity to explore a practice few people ever learn to use consciously.

Meditation is not about escaping the world or doing something perfectly. It is about making time to meet life as it is, rather than moving through it on autopilot.

Sometimes that looks like sitting and noticing the pull of thoughts before they carry us away. Sometimes it is standing still, feeling the body arrive before the next task begins. Sometimes it is walking with awareness, even for a few steps between places. Sometimes it is lying down, allowing the body to rest while the mind remains gently present.

These four postures are not separate from daily life — they are woven into it. Before typing an email. Before walking into a meeting. While sitting with friends or colleagues. In the brief pauses we usually rush past.

Meditation is found in those small moments of presence. Moments where we step out of habit, opinion, and wanting — and return to what is actually here, now.

Each posture offers a doorway. Each moment offers a chance to begin again.

Which posture feels most natural for you right now? 🧘

Over the past few days, we were quietly (and at times not so quietly) preparing the space to welcome Annalika and everyone who joined us for our very first Alchemy Sound Bath. Right up until the last moment, we were painting the hall, moving things into place, and tending to the small details — all with the intention of creating a space that felt calm, welcoming, and held.

Since it was our first session, every little thing mattered. Once the paint dried and the room settled, the space softened into something gentle and ready to receive sound.

Annalika guided the evening with such care and presence. As the crystal alchemy bowls began to sing, the room slowly grew quiet. Some people drifted into deep rest, others felt release in their bodies, and some simply enjoyed the stillness. There was no right or wrong way to experience it — just space to meet the sound in whatever way felt natural.

We were also joined by familiar faces who have practiced with Annalika before, and it was heartwarming to see their excitement at experiencing the sound bath within the stillness of the Dhamma Centre. The energy of the room, the vibrations of the bowls, and the shared presence came together beautifully.

Annalika returns on 21st January for the next Alchemy Sound Bath.✨

Guided meditation or silent meditation—what actually helps? A grounded reflection on how these practices work in real life, and why both have their place.
