There’s a certain quiet strength in Tai Chi that you only really understand once you’ve stood there and felt it for yourself.
What looks slow from the outside is, in truth, deeply alive. Every shift of weight asks for attention. Every movement trains balance, coordination, patience. Over time, you begin to notice you’re not just moving your body — you’re refining it. Stabilising joints. Softening unnecessary tension. Breathing more fully. Standing more confidently.
Our weekly Tai Chi sessions at the Dhamma Centre are led by Stan, whose decades of practice and research bring both depth and clarity to the form. This isn’t a fitness fad or a watered-down version of something ancient. It’s real training — accessible, steady, and grounded in tradition — taught in a way that welcomes complete beginners.
If you’ve been curious but hesitant, that’s normal. Most people are before they begin. You don’t need flexibility. You don’t need prior experience. You just need the willingness to step into the room and try.
Give it a few weeks and see what changes — in your posture, your balance, your breathing, and perhaps even your mind.
