Welcome to The Oaks Care Home's page. We are located in Colchester, Essex. The Oaks has a beautifully decorated and homely feel.

The Oaks care home in Colchester provides expert, warm, person-centred care for up to 61 older people who require dementia, nursing or residential support. There’s always a full diary of fun social events and activities, thanks to our dedicated activities co-ordinators. Mealtimes are carefully planned with delicious, fresh food cooked on-site and our fully trained, friendly team of carers and nurses are on hand 24/7, whenever needed. The home is spacious and with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, bedrooms are beautifully decorated, while the coffee lounge, cinema lounge and open-plan dining room offer the perfect place for you to relax or socialise in. We have the added benefit of being surrounded by large gardens and well-manicured lawns, which were created by award winning gardener, author and lecturer, Beth Chatto.

🐕 A little while ago our beloved Monty from celebrated his 6th birthday!

To show our appreciation for him and his owner Mark for coming to see us every week, we baked him a lovely - and completely dog friendly- birthday cake! 🎂

Seeing him enjoy it so much really made it worth it!

Thank you for all you do, animals can do so much good for us all 💜

Today was a portrait lesson! ✏️

We learned about the proportions of the face and how to begin shaping features-
It doesn't look it in the pictures, but we all enjoyed it immensely and can't wait to carry on with our pieces!

❤️ Our Valentine's Day Party ❤️

We had an absolute blast earlier this week celebrating the love in our hearts! With a delicious spread and great music as always (thank you Andy) we partied the afternoon away!

It was such an energetic atmosphere and thank you to all who joined in!
