The skilled team at Tall Trees care home provides high-quality respite, nursing and dementia care, as well as compassionate end of life care. Located in the centre of Colchester, Essex, this comfortable, purpose-built home is conveniently situated for travel and local amenities. Residents and visitors are able to enjoy many local attractions as part of the home's exciting activities programme. At the heart of the care Tall Trees provides is a deep understanding of the individual, so they get to know each resident well to plan activities and experiences that enable them to live a fulfilling life. All colleagues have received advanced dementia training, which enables them to experience first-hand what it may be like to live with dementia.

🎉🥂 Welcoming the New Year at Tall Trees 🥂🎉
Our New Year celebrations kicked off with a fun and engaging quiz, getting everyone thinking and laughing together. Later in the afternoon, after lunch, the celebrations continued with a lively karaoke session, where both residents and colleagues joined in with singing and plenty of smiles.

To top it all off, our residents enjoyed a glass of champagne, making it a truly special and joyful way to welcome the New Year together. ✨❤️

What a magical Christmas we had! Santa visited each of our residents with gifts and festive cheer, our lovely colleagues dressed in Christmas attire brought extra sparkle to the day, and we all enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch together.

We were delighted to welcome two wonderful pet therapy dogs, Jane and Lottie, from Essex Therapy Dogs . Jane was brought along by the lovely Jayne, and Lottie by the equally lovely Gail.

🎄🎶 Sing-Alongs, Laughter & a Visit from Santa! 🎶🎄
Our residents had an absolutely fantastic time at our Christmas sing-along with the wonderful entertainer Mike. From classic Christmas songs and cheerful jokes to a surprise appearance dressed as Santa, Mike had everyone smiling, singing, and laughing along. A truly joyful session that was loved by all! 🎅❤️

We offer a friendly welcome and the very best level of care from our dedicated team.

Tall Trees is a modern, purpose-designed care home set in a quiet residential area close to the town centre of Colchester in Essex. We provide personalised nursing and respite care for older people, including individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, physical disabilities or learning disabilities. We also offer supportive and compassionate end of life care.

We have a warm, welcoming and homely atmosphere here at Tall Trees – everyone feels part of a close-knit community. Our experienced and dedicated team works hard to make sure that every resident is happy, relaxed and comfortable, and we always greet visitors with a big smile and a friendly chat.

Each member of our team shares the same goal of providing high quality, individualised care with a personal touch. We listen to residents tell us how they want to be cared for and treat each person with dignity and respect. We spend lots of time getting to know new residents and finding out about their experiences, interests and memories. We work with residents and their families to create tailored care plans which help each person to continue enjoying a fulfilling life that is as active and independent as possible.
