Start the conversation on Time to Talk Day 💙

We all have mental health that needs to be looked after, just like we all have physical health – but it can still feel hard to talk about. A simple check-in, an honest chat, or a small moment of connection can make a real difference and help break down stigma about stress and mental wellbeing.

There’s no right or wrong way – what matters is reaching out; it could be a message to a friend, a chat over a cuppa, a walk with someone you trust, or trying therapy.

By opening up about our experiences and supporting one another, we can help create kinder, more open communities where everyone feels able to thrive. We're proud that we offer access to support all year round, from Mental Health First Aiders, to counselling, to an informal chat with our Wellbeing Champions.

As we head into February, we can’t quite believe a whole month of 2026 has passed us by already! From sustainability challenges and service anniversaries to furry visitors, music milestones and a fantastic CQC result, it’s been a busy and heart-warming start to 2026.

💖 Blakeney House shared the love early with a hearts-filled arts & crafts session, spreading plenty of Valentine’s cheer.
🎶 Russell at King Edwards Grove went retro, treating himself to a record player and spinning John Denver as his first vinyl choice - a hit already!
🛒 Steadman at 46 The Grove has been enjoying helping with the weekly food shop, proudly taking on the fruit & veg aisles.

January is National Mentoring Month!

We’re strong believers in the power of people supporting people. That’s why, in April, we’ll be launching our own mentoring programme, Mentoring Moments, designed to give colleagues the space to learn from one another, build confidence, and feel supported in their careers.

We’ll begin by piloting the programme with colleagues who have completed Leadership Programmes through our Aspiring Academy, before opening it up to even more people across Consensus.

It’s a simple idea that will make a big difference.

Wales, day 2!

We snapped plenty of selfies, soaked up all those everyday moments that really matter, and met some wonderful people along the way.

Thank you, Wales, for having us, we’ve had so much fun.

What a brilliant day spending time across some of our Welsh services 💛From chatting with our incredible Service Managers to catching up with some of the wonderful people we support, it was a reminder of why we do what we do every single day.

At Consensus, our values of Kindness, Commitment and Creativity guide everything, and visits like this show just how much heart and hard work go into making our services feel like home.

Most importantly, we loved seeing how teams are helping to Make Every Moment Matter in the small, joyful, everyday ways that mean the most.

Here’s just some of those moments 🎥✨

As part of January’s Cervical Cancer Prevention week, today we hosted a lunch & learn Cervical Cancer Prevention session 'Very Important Invitation' with Maddy Dunningham, Cervical Screening Lead Nurse at Suffolk GP Federation.

Inviting colleagues from across our services and central support teams - women & men - the session gave our colleagues the chance to learn, ask important questions, and take part in open conversations about cervical health. Focusing on;
🩷 Raising awareness of cervical screening
🩷 Understanding the HPV vaccine
🩷 Prevention and early detection
🩷 Exploring reasonable adjustments to help make screening more accessible

Committed to supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues and providing access to information and resources that empower people to make informed choices about their health, thank you to everyone who joined us for todays session.

And thank you to Maddy & Suffolk GP Federation for running the session for us! 😊

Across Consensus, we’re proud to be a community made up of people from many different religions, beliefs, cultures and backgrounds.

For World Religion Day, we invited colleagues and the people we support to share a little about their religion - what matters most to them, an important day they celebrate, and what they’d like others to understand. By sharing insight into their beliefs and listening to different voices and experiences, we build a more inclusive culture where everyone feels seen, valued and respected.

Thank you to those who shared so openly - and to everyone across who ensures kindness and inclusivity are lived every day 💜
