Ty Hendy - a place where people are empowered to thrive! Following their recent Inspectorate Wales Inspection, we're thrilled to announce it's excellent across the board!

Excellent in well-being, excellent in care & support, excellent in environment, and excellent in leadership & management. This is our first Welsh service that has been assessed under the new framework, and we're overjoyed reading some of the stand out comments;
⭐"We saw an approachable, accessible, supportive and highly effective leadership and management team in place. Leaders are visible role models continuing to guide the strategic direction of the service."
⭐ "People are creatively supported and empowered to cultivate safe and healthy relationships. Staff have developed highly effective relationships with people and each other. The service is dynamic and exceptionally positive, giving a real sense of family."

On Friday last week some of our services got involved with Children in Need, raising awareness and money - and most importantly, having some fun!

Pool Cottage wore their Pudsey shirts with pride, whilst Ty Hendy held a brilliant cake sale full of smiles and sweet treats. A joyful day across both services! 💛

For Kieran, there’s nothing he loves more than helping others 🧡

Living at Ty Hendy in Wales, Kieran is truly flourishing with the right person-centred support. Living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) can bring daily challenges, but with the encouragement and guidance of his support team, Kieran has built confidence, independence and a lifestyle that works for him.

From volunteering at his local hospital, serving snacks and brightening patients’ days, to helping at charity shops and community farms, Kieran’s kindness and determination shine through in everything he does.

It's almost Halloween and our supported living services in Ipswich have come together to host a spook-tacular pumpkin carving contest 🎃

🥇 First prize went to a delightfully scary horror-movie inspired scene
🥈 Silver was snatched by the perfect trick-or-treat pumpkin
🥉 And in third place, a fabulous new Jack O'lantern for Halloween vibes

We love the creativity - well done everyone!

Ken had a cobble-tastic day visiting the Coronation Street set this summer - and even got to meet Kirk!

A lifelong fan who’s watched the show since it first aired, Ken loved exploring the famous cobbles, pulling pints in the Rovers Return, and stopping by Roy’s Rolls😊

He said it was a brilliant day out, and he’s already hoping to go again to meet the rest of the Coronation Crew 👋

We’re thrilled to share that Sheepwalk House has been rated Good following their recent CQC inspection! 🌟

Described as “strong communicators, genuinely warm and deeply knowledgeable,” the team go above and beyond to make sure the people they support feel safe, valued and at home. 💗

Service Manager Mary and her incredible team have created a place where individuality is celebrated, and every moment matters. Area Director Melanie shared:
“This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion and commitment of our staff team in providing safe, high-quality and person-centred care every day.”

As we head into the colder months, we’re looking back on some of the summer fun that happened at Blossoms, as they invited another service over for their summer fair - filled with fun, laughter, and fundraising! 💛

Family, friends, and colleagues all came together to raise money for Gateway, a local social club for adults with learning disabilities that the people we support love attending. Gateway relies heavily on donations and community support, so it was fantastic to see everyone getting involved to help such an important cause🎉

At Consensus, we know that every moment matters, so it was amazing to see the people we support stepping out of their comfort zones, chatting with visitors, helping to run stalls, and taking the lead in activities. Their confidence and enthusiasm made the day truly special 🌟
