Below is a map of the areas that are covered by my Home Visit Service.

An Ear Irrigation Home Visit appointment is £60 and this covers all treatment for both ears.

I also hold fortnightly clinics in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Wooler, Alnwick and Kelso.

An Ear Irrigation clinic appointment is £40 and this covers all treatment for both ears.

You may have noticed that I rent rooms within local health and beauty businesses to run my clinics. There is a few reasons for this:

1. It supports local businesses run by local people.
2. It allows me to move around and bring the service close to those that need it.
3. The locations I work from have an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and provide me with a safe and comfortable working environment for my clients.
4. It allows me to have no large overheads so I can pass this saving onto my clients by keeping my prices affordable.

After a fantastic few days down in Wolverhampton at The Audiology Academy I can now say I am officially a fully qualified Ear Care & Ear Wax Removal Specialist 😁
My nursing career with the NHS gave me a good foundation in Ear Care but I wanted to take that further and develop my professional knowledge and skills so I can provide my clients with the highest level of care.

❔️ Could it be Wax? 🤔❔️

Hearing aid not working as well as it normally does even after a clean and battery change?

For Hearing aid wearers it is unfortunately common to have excessive ear wax production.

This is understood to be due to your ear identifying the hearing aid as a foreign body, it knows it should not be there blocking the opening to your ear. Your ear will then produce more wax to try and expel the hearing aid from the ear. This is part of the ears natural response to protecting your ear drum/hearing.

Although this is nothing to be concern about it can be very annoying when your ear canal begins to block up with wax causing reduced hearing.

For your hearing aid to work to its full potential it needs to be able to communicate with your ear drum. Wax build up acts like a brick wall between the two stopping this from being able to happen.
