5th April 2025, peacefully in hospital, Vancouver, Canada and formerly of Articlave, Co Londonderry devoted wife of Mervyn, a much loved sister of Robert and beloved sister in law, aunt and cousin. Formerly medical stenographer at Coleraine Hospital 1966 to 1982 before emigrating to Canada.

Service of thanksgiving for her life will be held at First Garvagh Presbyterian Church on Thursday 29th May at 11 am followed by interment in adjoining graveyard.

We posted this 3 years ago - still very relevant today. We are very blessed here in Northern Ireland that people show real respect most of the time. It only takes a few mins to pause, show respect and make it a bit easier for the family and the funeral director. This wee post went viral in 2021 with so many likes and 37k shares.

Paying our respects. During this very difficult time, could we ask everyone for some help. If you see a hearse, could you stop and stand for a moment as it passes, perhaps bow your head?
In these times where funerals are restricted, our chance to support people during bereavement is limited. So, we wondered if we could revive an old tradition that would show people that their loss is noticed and shared by us all?
It would mean the world to families in a time of sadness. This message comes from all funeral directors in UK.
