This is a great example of the different parts of us that often battle with each other for control!
IFS therapy gets curious about these parts and recognises that each part has good intentions for the individual. In therapy we spend time working to get to know them and finding out why they do what they do and then discovering the vulnerable part that they both protect and eventually unburdening it of it’s beliefs.. Bringing a sense of freedom and relief for the whole system.
