I started my apprenticeship in 1997 in North Wales with Ian Hughes working alongside him at the Liverpool University of Equine and Ashbrook Equine Hospital. During this time I built up a good knowledge of remedial and corrective shoeing. On qualification in June 2001 I returned to the Isle of Man from which I originate. Working there for two years I built up a good clientele and developed a lot of the skills I had gained during my apprenticeship. I am now permanently based in England around the Midlands area. I cover roughly a 20 mile radius of my home in Balsall Common, Coventry as there are many more veterinary practices to work alongside and a larger range of sports horses.
