The beauty of having my clinic right at the front of my home is that I can work late, start early, and still be present as a mum and a partner.
Being self-employed is incredible in so many ways, but there’s a side to it that few people see — the long hours before and after everyone’s asleep can be both a blessing and a curse. The to-do list never ends, and fitting everything into one day often means stretching the hours I have.
For now, it’s just me — podiatrist, receptionist, cleaner, social media manager, planner, researcher, and everything in between.
If the lights are on, I might not be treating patients, but I’m still working behind the scenes to keep it all running smoothly. And honestly, it’s been completely worth it.
I’m 2 months into opening and finally feel like I’m finding a bit more of a balance — building my dream as a private podiatrist while raising my family and making a real difference in people’s lives.
When you truly love what you do and believe in its impact, the late nights and early mornings don’t feel like sacrifices — they feel like steps toward something meaningful.
And I’ll never apologise for thanking my patients too much — because without you, I’d simply be a woman with a dream 🥰.
