We had such a lovely time welcoming 'This Girl Loves to Sing' to spend time with our residents.

With her ukulele and keyboard, she brought a wonderful music session full of joy, laughter, and plenty of singalongs. It was so special to see everyone getting involved, tapping along, and enjoying the music together.

Thank you for such a warm and uplifting visit – we can’t wait to have you back again!

A Special Visit from Bob the Therapy Dog at Colwall Care Home 🐾

We were delighted to welcome back Bob, the therapy dog, for a recent visit to Colwall Care Home.

One of our residents, Pete, has always had a love for animals. As he has become more frail, having a pet of his own is no longer possible—but Bob’s visit brought back so many wonderful memories of his childhood dog, a much-loved companion.

Bob’s owner is always thoughtful in checking whether residents would like a visit, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and included.

✨ Celebrating the Grand Opening of Colwall Care Home ✨

We had a truly fantastic day marking the official opening of Colwall Care Home!

With the sun shining, it was a glorious day, and guests were able to enjoy the beautiful balcony terrace and stunning surrounding views.

Guests were welcomed with delicious canapés followed by a lovely lunch, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.

We were honoured to have David Robinson, Chairman of Colwall Parish Council, officially cut the ribbon to mark this special milestone.

The day was made even more memorable with beautiful harp music from Ruth, guided tours of the home, and insightful talks from our Wellness Coach, Jack—showcasing everything Colwall has to offer.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this wonderful occasion.

Mother’s Day at Colwall Care Home

We had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day at Colwall with a lovely afternoon tea and a touch of bubbles.

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon filled with delicious treats, laughter and great company. It was so special to come together and make the day memorable for all the amazing mums and mother figures in our home.

On Friday, Dr Lynn kindly delivered her copy of the Colwall Clock and Coddington Recorder to us, along with her beautiful write-up about her stay at Colwall Care Home over Christmas.

We are incredibly grateful for her kind words – they truly mean a lot to our whole team. As Dr Lynn writes in her article:

"We decided to go on a cruise over Christmas and New Year… What we really want, of course, is all the positives of the cruise without the negatives… Then we suddenly realised the answer lies right here in Colwall!"

Residents at Colwall Care Home had a wonderful afternoon welcoming special guest storyteller Julian and his partner to the home.

The session was filled with laughter, imagination and engaging stories that brought everyone together. Residents thoroughly enjoyed listening, sharing moments together and getting lost in the wonderful tales.

A truly enjoyable afternoon for all, and we look forward to welcoming them back again soon.

From gentle pats and cuddles to joining in during games, Bob brought so much joy and laughter to everyone he met. Visits like these always brighten the day and create so many special moments for our residents.
