To the Woman Hiding Her Magic
Here are 10 things I wish I knew when I started my soul-led business
If I could sit across from you right now, warm tea in hand, eyes softened with knowing, this is what I’d tell you.
Not because I have it all figured out, but because I remember what it feels like to carry a gift so big it scares you.
To feel the call… and also the fear.
To want to start, but not know where to begin.
So if you're a psychic, medium, energy worker, reader, or soul-led guide of any kind, and you're standing on the edge of sharing your magic with the world, this is for you.
These are the truths I wish someone had whispered to me when I was starting out:
1. You don’t need to have it all together to support others.
Your presence matters more than your perfection. You’re allowed to show up as you are, in the process, in practice mode, and in your own sacred rhythm.
2. Messy beginnings are meaningful.
The first time you speak about your work. The first client you serve. The first offer you post with a trembling voice. These are not things to rush through. They are part of your becoming.
3. You do not need to wait until you feel completely ready.
Most people don't. The moment to begin is the moment your soul says, “It’s time.” Even if your hands are shaking. Even if your voice is unsure.
4. Your gifts are valid, even if they haven’t made you money yet.
Recognition doesn’t have to come from a payment or a follower count. Your gifts are real because they exist. Because they help, shift, soothe, and awaken.
5. If you choose to build a business from your gifts, let it be sacred.
You’re not just selling a service. You’re holding space, shifting energy, anchoring light. Let your business reflect the depth of what you really do.
6. Doubt is part of the process. It doesn’t mean you’re in the wrong place.
You are stepping into new territory. Of course it feels unfamiliar. Keep going. Doubt loses power when you stop letting it drive the decisions.
7. There is no single right way to do this.
The most aligned path is the one that honours your energy, your values, and your voice. Let your business feel like you, not a version of what you think it should look like.
8. You will change, often. Let that be okay.
You’ll outgrow offers. You’ll shift directions. You might even burn things down and rebuild. That is not failure! It’s an evolution!
9. You don’t have to tone it down to be accepted.
Let yourself be as mystical, as sensitive, as fierce, as soft, as wild, or as subtle as you really are. The right people will recognise your frequency.
10. You are allowed to want success.
This isn’t about choosing between service and sustainability. You are allowed to be supported, well-paid AND deeply fulfilled. You don’t need to sacrifice yourself to be of service.
SO......You don’t need to rush. You don’t need to be fearless. You just need to begin, in your way, in your time.
Which one of these landed in your heart today?
I’d love to hear what stirred something in you.
