Yesterday at Astbury Mere we were proud to host a wonderful community coffee morning in support of Marie Curie 💛
The team and residents came together dressed in yellow, surrounded by daffodils, cake, and plenty of happy smiles. It was a beautiful morning filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt moments as we celebrated and remembered loved ones who will always hold a special place in our hearts.
As we welcome the first signs of spring, it felt especially meaningful to gather as a community and support the incredible work that Marie Curie does every day for people and families when they need it most.
We’re so proud to host events like this at Astbury Mere – bringing people together, giving back, and spreading kindness in our community.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, wore yellow, shared cake, and helped make the morning so special. Here’s to friendship, remembrance, and brighter days ahead 🌼💛

🌸Spring is in the air!🌼

Our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to Bridgemere Garden Centre, part of The Blue Diamond Group, making the most of the beautiful start to spring. From a delicious spot of lunch to a little browse around the shops, it was the perfect way to spend the day together.
There were plenty of smiles, great conversation, and maybe even a few treats picked up along the way! What better way to welcome the new season? 🌷🛍️

Bonjour from our wonderful residents! 🇫🇷✨
Laughter, learning, and a little bit of French flair as our residents enjoyed a fun and interactive French lesson with Living Lingo!

From practising simple phrases like “bonjour” and “merci” to sharing stories and smiles, everyone had a fantastic time exploring a new language together.

Activities like these are a great way to keep minds active, spark curiosity, and bring everyone together. We’re so proud of our residents for embracing the challenge and having so much fun along the way!

Today our home was filled with imagination, laughter, and some fantastic costumes as both residents and team members dressed up as their favourite book characters! From timeless classics to beloved modern stories, it was wonderful to see everyone bringing the magic of books to life.

A huge thank you to our amazing residents and dedicated team for getting involved and making the day so special. The creativity, smiles, and shared memories truly captured the spirit of World Book Day.

A big thank you to Arthur, our dedicated mini bus driver, for getting everyone there safely, and to Sam – usually behind the camera making sure every special moment is captured – who also joined in the crafting fun!
