Christmas Day was filled with smiles and festive cheer here at Astbury Mere Care Home, Congleton as our residents were wished a Merry Christmas and received their Christmas presents. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the day and sharing happy moments together.

As part of our Christmas tradition, our Home Manager, Emma, visited the home to spend time with residents and pass on festive wishes.

Thank you to our wonderful staff on duty for helping make Christmas Day warm, joyful, and memorable for all.

Yesterday, our residents here at Astbury Mere Care Home, Congleton enjoyed another wonderful French session with Liz from Languagility. As we’re in the festive season, this session was all about Christmas and New Year celebrations, exploring festive traditions, seasonal vocabulary, and sharing plenty of smiles and laughter along the way. It was a lovely, engaging afternoon that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Last Friday, our residents had a wonderful time taking part in our Christmas Walker & Wheelchair Decorations Competition. Staff, families, and friends jumped in to support them—and you could truly feel the competitive spirit in the air!
