trundl

trundl trundl, the UK's only walking app that repurposes your everyday walks into charity donations and more, without you having to raise the funds yourself.

We're revolutionising the way you think about walking, one step at a time. ABOUT TRUNDL AND WHY WE EXIST

Founded by Hil who currently lives in Cheshire, the idea of trundl came about WHEN she hit mid life. Because of one health set back and sports injury after another, at the age of 48 she realised that being first over the line and top of the leader board wasn't for everyone or could no longer be the goal. She set about building a virtual community app where instead of being competitive, people could be motivated differently to turn the door handle and be more active. "By pressing GO on the app, we all pull together as a virtual community. We walk as far or as fast as we can, it doesn't matter if it's 1km or 50km, the motivation is to raise money for charity without the trundlr having to do the fund raising themselves. The power of one persons' walk multiplied as we grow, makes a huge difference to all of our outdoor and mobility related charities, in turn making each and every one of us proud to be part of the trundl community, that's my vision for trundl"

Repurposing your daily walks, dog walks or trips to school or the office on foot can all be applied to trundl. It's easy, makes you feel good and gives you a fab sense of social good. Plus with offers from brand partners you even get the chance to redeem your membership fee. Our monthly member subscription is £3.99 or when you sign up for our newsletter you will receive a special trial offer. We'd love trundl to be free but we have huge costs in running the app so: How does it work? At trundl we are proud to say that we donate a minimum of 10% of our monthly income to UK outdoor and mobility related charities for every step taken via the community trundl app. Importantly, we do not charge our charity partners a fee or commission for being part of the trundl community. Have a look see for yourself and decide if trundl gives you the extra motivation you need to turn the door handle and be active because belonging to the trundl community will do you good and does good for UK good causes without you having to raise all the funds yourself.

A fully trained dog will open up the world for someone with autism and their family too

With the support and friendship of a non-judgmental dog, it may mean that the person with autism feels safe to go out in a noisy spaces for the first time

Or, because their dog is trained to see when anxiety is building, melt-downs can be anticipated, making family mealtimes and get-togethers so much easier

The list is almost endless as each dog is trained to help identified needs, which is why their education requires expertise and investment

We're trundling from 13th Feb - 2nd March to help more puppies like Dubber, so they can set off with their new super powers to change some lives

One wag of the tail at a time 🐕️

Before Megan came into his life, Thomas found many things that we take for granted extremely hard to tolerate.

Being diagnosed with a complexity of learning challenges, including autism, Thomas found school and being out in public spaces deeply challenging.

With his senses easily overloaded, Thomas could quickly become dysregulated, disrupting school attendance and family life.

But the arrival of Megan, a trained Cavapoo, transformed everything. Megan is alert to Thomas's needs, quickly moving in to let him calm himself with a cuddle or providing some deep pressure with her body.

With Megan alongside them, the family can now go out together and school is no longer a problem as Megan steps in to help Thomas regulate himself.

We're trundling to create funds for more puppies like Megan. Come walking with the trundl app and give us a hand - or a couple of feet in this case.

We're sharing this shot in the hope that it encourages the heavens to smile on us for a change.

Despite the weather, we'll be off on a spring trundl for our friends at .

Every walk with the trundl app will create funds for training puppies who will go on to transform the lives of people with autism and the families that love them.

So, even if the weather looks grim say 'yes' to a walk and know that your steps will be life changing.

Big thanks to everyone for trundling for

All donations to this lovely UK charity will go towards supporting this much loved but endangered British mammal.

Hedgehogs are what's called an indicator species, meaning that when they decline, it's a sign that our bio diversity and soil health is in peril too.

Your journey with the trundl app will go some way to tipping the odds in their favour. Thank you.

If you're daring to start planning what to do with the garden this year, don't forget to help the hedgehogs by leaving some wild patches.

These are great places for many animals and insects to make a home in over the long term and if it's protected enough, you may even attract a hedgehog.

You could go one step further by planning to make a proper hedgehog home - they're simple to make and the have some great examples on their website.

We're walking with the trundl app to create some funds for this brilliant UK charity. A hedgehog can trundl for up to 3km a day - can you?💚

A lot of people think that 'exercise' - which often feels like 'EXERCISE' in their heads - has to be sweaty and painful to make an impact.

But regular outdoor walks are a great way to build up stamina, joint health and mental wellbeing without the need to invest in gyms or equipment.

Regular walks can also be added to a weekly gym routine to increase mobility and boost the brain, while also helping to maintain fitness between sessions.

We're encouraging everyone to Get Fit in Feb - and starting with some regular trundls is a great way to start. The trundl app provides the motivation - helping others - and rewards you for any distance that you cover.

Happy trundling!

We mentioned 'hedgehog highways' previously and they are a real thing.

teams up with Hedgehog Streets to encourage households to create highways between homes.

A foraging hedgehog can trundl for up to 2 kms a night, while a male hedgehog looking for a mate can cover up to 3 kms nightly.

By adding just 13 x 13 cm square gaps into adjoining fences, we can make a huge difference to hedgehog safety and range. See the first comment to learn how you can become a hedgehog champion.

Meanwhile, you can walk with the trundl app in the next 2 weeks to create funds with your every day walks. If you trundl 2kms a day like a summer hedgehog, your contribution will soon add up 🦔

At this time of year, when they're all tucked up in hibernation, you probably won’t spot many hedgehogs – though some hibernating wake up during their hibernation!

These wakeful periods generally last a day or two & although sometimes unprompted can be caused by a disturbance or unexpectedly warm weather.

Healthy hedgehogs aren’t usually spotted out during the daytime.

Which is why we are following the advice of our friends at the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and refraining from showing well-lit shots of our spiky friends.

As we're heading towards the time when hedgehogs begin to stir, we're walking with the trundl app to create funds to support them.

Hedgehogs are truly in peril in the UK, but if we club together to safeguard their wild places and open up the highways between our gardens, they may have a chance.

Thanks for your support 🦔

As is so often the case with a trundl, we had to increase the distance and, therefore, donation target well before the end. Pretty impressive given the grim weather we've been facing.

Huge thanks to everyone who went out walking with the trundl app to turn walks, runs, hikes or shopping trips into donations.

And a big thank you to Ecad Training for sponsoring this trundl as part of their ongoing support for MOVE Against Cancer.

Top job all round 💙

Just a few days to go for the first against cancer charity 5K Your Way event of 2026 on Jan 31st.

Taking place at over 100 ParkRuns across the UK, these are brilliant places for anyone affected by cancer to get together for gentle exercise, encouragement, support and friendship.

This is Conkers 5K Your Way group, who get going in all weathers and always come back smiling.

Meanwhile anyone can join trundl to raise funds all year round, and January is a great time to start a healthy walking practice.

You don't have to be 2-legged to trundl or join a 5K Your Way event.

Dogs love trundling as it usually means they get to walk further or more often as their owners are usually keen to contribute to the community target

And dogs also love joining a 5K Your Way event as they get to go out in company and be made a huge fuss of.

We're building up to the end of our Community trundl for MOVE Against Cancer Charity, which will coincide with the 5K Your Way events held right across the country at local ParkRuns on January 31st

Remember to join in and help us smash the donation target, that has been so kindly sponsored by ECAD Training.

A doggy companion is optional, but paw-fectly welcome
