Double-card Friday: Five of Pentacles and Six of Swords
Message of the Day: Hold the Earth

Well, after the other dramatic energies this week, these cards are here to help clear and make progress beyond the challenging times. The Five of Pentacles energy is one of depletion and a feeling of lack. Something key seems missing in life: money, health, family, sensual connection with our material life. However, there IS help at hand to get through this but you need to look in the right place. There is also an aspect of accepting that you need help to make the effort to seek help, not to wait for it to come to you. It is already there. The message to “hold the Earth” connects to the element of Pentacles. Ground yourself! Look around at the beauty of Nature. Even on a grey, late Autumn day, there is beauty and wonder to be found in the sleeping Earth. Time will move on, the light will return, the Sprint will come. Embrace - hold - this earthly energy and draw on it to help you. It is there, waiting for you!

This leads on to the energy of the Six of Swords. The combination indicates that you will find this acceptance of your situation, and your responsibility for moving on. The Six of Swords indicates that it is your mindset that needs to change. Yes, there have been difficult times but they have helped form the person you are - accept them, accept yourself with all your positive and negative aspects. Calmer waters are ahead and you need to steer your ship there. This negativity is a temporary state, things will get better. 🙏💕

I’ve never seen this phenomenon before! The card of the day today is the Four of Swords. This was the second jumper from the deck yesterday. It landed faced down, the Three of Swords landed face up. Today, the Four of Swords was in its own. This extremely strong focus on these two cards indicates the transition from grief and disappointment to taking responsibility for your recovery.

Take time for rest and reflection in your day, and in subsequent days. The dominance of these cards, despite being minor arcana and more associated with the every day aspects of life, actually represent something more significant in your life. The persistent insistence of the Swords’ energy indicates the dominance of your thoughts. Thoughts can override instinct and emotions if you let them. Allow yourself some deep rest and time off from overthinking because the latter will prolong the grief state in the phase of anger and denial.
The message of the day is to “be conscious when you meet new people”. Your thoughts of disappointment, loss and grief may still be clouding your judgement. New people may carry positive or negative energy so be aware of this in your vulnerable state. 🙏💕

Card of the Day: Three of Swords (again!)
Message of the Day: Allow time and take rest

Wow! It’s very unusual for the same card to appear on consecutive days and, with the painful emotions and thoughts in the Three of Swords, I hope you are all ok out there. The situation you are in is evidently difficult and is taking longer to process. If it needs more time then take more time and know that Spirit continues to support you as you go through it. Negative emotions often linger in the dark days of the Autumn and Winter so work with the pace of nature as you recover.
Remember that the next card is the Four of Swords which brings a gentler energy of rest and mediation.
Allow yourself to access this energy now so as to smooth the transition. Spirit had something to say on this as a second card jumper today and it was the Four of Swords - so the message is clear but it will just take a little longer. 🙏💕

Message of the Day: Be patient, don’t force it. Give it time.

At a time when things feel bleak, with disappointment, heartbreak and grief being dominant feelings, remember to let time be the healer. The source of the hurt may be from the words or intent of others, or the loss of someone close to you. The Three of Swords’ energy can hit quickly, like a sudden storm and leave you vulnerable.
Remember that the storm will pass and there is a silver lining to every cloud. Once you’ve allowed yourself an emotional cloudburst, let yourself feel the cleansing effects. Accept that this level of pain is also a necessary learning experience and that you CAN manage to get through it.
With the element of air present in the Swords, there is an indication that the perpetrator of the hurt is invisible or not present. Allow yourself to feel compassion for them and for yourself. Draw on the infinite capacity for love in your heart that will guide you forward.
Remember that the Four of Swords is a card of rest and recuperation. Take your time and remember to rest and reflect once the storm is over. 🙏💕

Message of the Day: If there is a seed of an idea that wants to sleep, let it sleep until Spring

The Eight of Cups indicates a feeling of loss, regret, disappointment and grief. Emotions are high but not very positive and this is leading to a lot of soul-searching. You feel you need to walk away from a situation without resolving the emotions involved. You need to go on a tough journey into yourself and ask yourself what it is you really want, what makes you feel fulfilled. This will not be an easy journey but it is necessary.
The message indicates that the result of this journey is a seed at the moment, lying dormant and waiting for the Spring. Use
this time to do the work on yourself. Rebalance your emotions and allow the water of the Cups to cleanse and refresh you. Don’t avoid the issues, take them on - face the storms of the winter! Work with Nature and allow yourself time to grow. 🙏💕

Emotional balancing is the theme of today’s cards. After the powerful energy of yesterday’s Knight of Wands, emotions may be heightened today and in need of balancing. The King of Cups is a master of his own emotions. He feels deeply and is full of compassion, the best therapist you could ask for! He is also a wise head to give advice on issues of the heart because of his depth of understanding. He is also grounded - and this is a key part of today’s message - you also need to ground yourself. Look honestly at how emotions and thoughts are making you feel unbalanced and actively picture your energy connecting with the Earth through your feet. Go for a walk, hug a tree, ground yourself! This emotional rebalancing is needed to strengthen and important relationship, symbolised by the Two of Cups. This card appeared earlier this week and its return means there is still work to be done here, hence the big chief of Cups’ presence to give you support. Be gentle with yourself and the other person involved. Seek calm waters where the relationship can bloom again, like the water lilies on the card. 🙏💕

Message of the Day: Allow flow, don’t block - let the Universe take care of this

The element of Cups is water and flow is what is needed today. There is some cleansing and healing happening today that may be sticky energy from a long time ago that is affecting you still. It may not be anything major but it is having an influence on your emotional wellbeing and today there is an opportunity to let it merge with the flow of your life. This energy is to do with an aspect of childhood, most likely yours but this could also be closely linked to your own children, if you have any. Reflection on incidents in childhood may bring happy or unhappy associations for different people. The feeling today is mostly of happy ones but the cleansing feels related to matters that need looking at again in a fresh light. Try to see the situation again, using your mature adult eyes, and see if it shifts and flows to give you fresh perceptions. Allow this to happen gently and with compassion for the younger you and others involved. Allow understanding and, if appropriate, forgiveness.
