Mavis & Dorothy started a Jigsaw puzzle๐Ÿงฉ this morning, they sat facing the window, so they could take in the wintery scene outsideโ„๏ธ, where it was -5๐Ÿฅถ, thankfully, it was nice and warm indoors๐Ÿ™‚

All though it was a cold day with flurries of snowโ„๏ธ, it didn't stop us having a run out in the car.
When Jackie offered to take Betty, who's 103 out, she jumped at the chance, on went the hat, coat, mittens and scarf.
The car was warmed and we were ready for the off, just then Betty had a visitor...her niece Elizabeth, so she came along with us๐Ÿ™‚.
We drove up to Mowcop, sat and looked over the Cheshire plain, before heading to Congleton Edge, where we met a couple of horses, which were happily munching away on a pile of hay...the cold weather didn't seem to bother them.
We stayed a while before heading back home as the sky looked like it was ready to snow and we didn't fancy getting stuck๐Ÿ˜. It was a very enjoyable afternoon for us all.

All though it was a cold afternoon with flurries of snow.
Jackie asked Betty if she would like a run out in the car...Betty jumped at the chance๐Ÿ™‚, on went the hat, coat, gloves and a scarf, the car was warmed and just as were going through the door, Betty's niece Elizabeth turned up to visit her, so, she came along with us, we went up to Mowcop to look over the Cheshire Plain, then came back to Congleton Edge where we saw a couple of horses, in a field eating their way through a pile of hay..they didn't seem bothered by the cold. We decided to head back home incase it really started to snow.
Betty said she had really enjoyed having a run out, especially as her niece joined us๐Ÿ˜Š

Residents today were treated to a spectacular New Years Lunch prepared by our marvellous chef Andrew. Roasted Lamb in Rosemary or Goats Cheese Tart with Red Currant Jelly. A glass of prosecco๏ฟผ, Christmas Pudding and coffee and mints finished the seasonal celebrations ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฅ‚

What a lovely Christmas day we have all had, the day started with breakfast after which many relatives visited their families.
Mid morning we had a glass of Sherry๐Ÿฅƒ and a Mince pie. A 3 course meal was served at lunch, a fan of melon, traditional Christmas lunch followed by Christmas Pudding with Brandy cream. We then all had a well deserved rest whilst our lunch went down and watched the Royal Christmas Carol Service.
In the afternoon we had a hot drink, served with Chocolate Mints, before watching the Kings speech๐Ÿ‘‘. If we had room for anymore food...a fantastic buffet tea was on offer๐Ÿ™‚. Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed the day, especially with a 'Surprise Gift' also known as Natalie, one of our Senior Support Workers which made everyone smile๐Ÿฅฐ
