The Bowen Technique is a simple remedial muscle manipulation therapy treating not just the symptoms but the body as a whole. By addressing the central nervous system, it stimulates the circulation and lymphatic systems removing toxins, releasing muscle spasm and aiding the body to re-align itself. Sarah-Ann Stoker is a mobile practitioner covering North East England, she is qualified & insured to treat humans, horses and dogs. The experience of a treatment is gentle, subtle and very relaxing, which makes Bowen so unique. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue (bones) and no insertion of needles. For humans the treatment is carried out through light clothing and it is suitable for ANY age of person!! Although as therapists we do not diagnose the following conditions have been found to respond well to the Bowen Technique: Digestive Problems, Hay Fever, Headache / Migraine, Tennis Elbow, Neck Problems / Whiplash, Frozen Shoulder, Pelvic Pain,Bronchial / Respiratory Problems, Groin Strain, RSI / Carpal Tunnel, IBS / Kidney Problems, Back Sprain / Strains, Sports injuries, Sciatica, Hamstring & Knee Problems, Muscle Pain, Chronic Fatigue, MS, ME, PMT. In animals it is ideal to use on any age of animal, after injury or surgery or just as an MOT treatment for peace of mind. Again conditions which respond well are: Muscle Spasm or Atrophy, Sore or Cold Back, Uneven Muscle Development, Unlevelness / Disunited Gait, Unexplained Stiffness, Loss of Performance, Change in Temperament, Weakened Immune System, Respiratory Conditions. This list is not exhaustive and this therapy has also shown to be an ideal tool for pre and post competition maintenance. Clients in Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Driving and Endurance have commented on the difference it has made to their horses way of going and therefore their well being and longevity of competitive career.

Jimmy has taken a few sessions to become more calm having his feet done, but Kim has been very patient with him and I think we've cracked it!! Sh*tlands not the easiest but we love them 😂

Been a busy day, started locally with a dog to treat for a spinal disc problem. Then off to the North East Carriage Company for their regular slot to treat their horses, to keep them fighting fit for their job. This afternoon finished with a new human client with a shoulder injury up near Cresswell......and couldn't resist taking a stroll on the beach as the weather was fab!! Paul Baxter

In just under 3 weeks I'll be attempting the Macmillan Mighty Hike of 26miles from Alnwick Castle to Bamburgh Castle in a day, alongside the other 'Knackered Nags' of Stella Storey & Miss Louisa Gillian Craigs.
