Dear 6-year-old me,
In 30 years’ time, you will have the job of your dreams, even if it doesn’t look the way anyone expects.
Right now, Mum and Dad encourage you to say you want to be a doctor, because doctors are high earners (at least in Peru!). But the truth is, that dream never really belongs to you. What you truly love is making things pretty. You colour everything in glitter pens and rainbow shades, and you already have a gift for making people feel good about themselves. You laugh easily, you bring joy wherever you go, and that never leaves you.
Life won’t be a straight line. You’ll work in coffee shops, earn a degree, and build a career in accountancy. You’ll become a personal trainer. You’ll become a mum. And one day, you’ll be made redundant, a moment that feels like the end, but is actually the beginning.
Because that’s when you finally choose you.
You choose something you genuinely love… lashes and make people feel confident.
Lashes become so much more than a treatment. They become connection. Your clients become friends. Appointments turn into regular catch-ups. You’ll laugh together, cry together, share secrets, and walk through life side by side. You’ll build a career around creativity, care, and community, and you’ll be deeply grateful every day that you get to do what you love, surrounded by the people you love most.
Six-year-old me, you could never imagine how lucky you’ll be. You’ll work alongside the most talented, inspiring people, and they’ll motivate you every single day. You’ll feel proud, fulfilled, and truly blessed to share this journey with them.
So keep colouring. Keep laughing. Keep being kind.
Everything you are right now is exactly who you’re meant to be.
Here’s to a new year, new growth, and everything still to come.
With love, and forever grateful!
Cecilia 🤍✨
