If you’re looking to regularly cultivate your own yoga and try new ways to understand each other without distractions. Or you just want to try a different kind of fun together. These events don’t disappoint.

Event insight:
Explore the power of the five senses

Sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch are the primary ways the body perceives the world by using specialized organs to detect external info

Sight uses the eyes to see, hearing uses the ears to listen, smell uses the nose to detect, taste uses the tongue and mouth for flavours, and touch uses skin to feel textures and temperatures. These senses provide a comprehensive understanding of our environment and can be used in fun ways!

What will happen in the event apart from partner poses to ease tension, breathing practices, music and quality time together and time for a cuppa?

Share relationship goals together with a simple written love letter pen & paper exercise

Learn immediately effective techniques to care for each other when you need to relax

Enjoy the magic of mindfulness practice of noticing and allowing and building trust

Teaching Older Adult Classes is a blessing!
Nearly 20 years ago I began teaching Keep Fit using a qualification obtained in 2006 called ‘Exercise Referral’. Prior to that I was risk assessing, delivering and evaluating classes, coaching health and fitness via lifestyle consultations and designing gym programs for the general public and the over 50s. This took place in very posh private gyms in Watford, and Bromley and at the University Maes Glas Sports Hall Bangor and in leisure centres across Anglesey (sounds odd as I’m three months away from my own 50th!).

I always included balance work, games and big banter. My favourite type of workout. Lots of stretching and breathing exercises too. So chilled and so much 🤩 fun.

A few years later I took another qual called ‘Prevention of Falls for the Frail and Elderly’. During my ten years working part time contracted as an Exercise Referral Professional with Anglesey County Council. I developed massive huge respect for the elders who regardless of their medical considerations, levels of pain and limitations taught me so much about real resilience.

Its a kinda magic One of the ladies who was 80, blind in one eye, had double hip replacement and one knee replacement always, beat her personal best at wall press ups. I made sure she knew that most 20 year olds couldn’t do 60 in one set! Here’s some of the excellent effort put in by the resident’s chair based wellbeing.

After a warm up, tailored mobility exercises, breathing practices and some chatting. We also used soft balls to enhance mind body connection. Squeezing them in between the knees. These exercises are taken from the prenatal tool kit to not only work on the large hip and leg muscles but also encourage pelvic floor strengthening. They enjoyed the singalongs as always! We finished with some relaxing together before they got ready for their tea.

🧘🏽‍♀️Sharing this style of class/circle time free creative movement and musical space has brought so much joy into my life.

🧘🏽‍♀️Through the eyes of the little humans we can find the answers to the bigger questions in life. They show us how to respond to our emotions without judgement or anxiety and with a free spirit.

🙏🏽Through observation we see they express their humanness in the way they move and engage with us when we hold sacred space for them. In Love.

Hello 2025 & HNY to All 😃
Banner update in the other group page I run voluntarily to help people meet their full potential. This is one of the ways I work towards my Core Values.

Conwy Fitness & Movement Based Wellbeing For Everyone is celebrating nearly eight years in action supporting Conwy residents, businesses and families 😃

My mission in the next two months is to create a Canva banner, or recruit a volunteer to do it. Get in touch if you’re interested! Team work makes the dream work 👌

Questions were asked
I also asked the teens in my circle to come up with ideas for the banner and considered the ideas put forward so far.

They suggested AI.. so I asked ChatGPT too 😄

We thought about using a map of Conwy and multiple images of the business logos. The previous banner showed random images of fitness styles. This time I’d like to show as many of the local businesses and groups as poss.

How can you help?
Please keep inviting new members or commenting on each other’s post in there and in here to boost them up. 🙌

So this is Christmas 2024🎄

I want to write a lil something. I love writing & this year 90% of my copy has been necessary, welcomed and reserved for specific audiences and so as such it’s not been suitable to post in all groups. Some of you may have noticed the quiet 😅 with this gear change.

At all times it’s been a learning curve & as eternal learning, unity, loving kindness and helping people reach their full potential are some of my Core Values, my Whys. It’s worked to keep alignment here at what I like to call Heart Centre HQ 😍.

So a hugeeeee thank you to everyone who has or is supporting my work in anyway. Be it a recommendation or a simple share or comment. I really appreciate it.

Thank you 🙏🏽
We’re contributing in our unique ways to connecting others and that in itself is enough and most welcome.

At the almost end of an epic year of personal achievements and self development. I find myself reflecting again on just how incredible we all are. The true beauty of us humans & animals here on 🌍 is in our adaptive capacity. Our resilience. Our long term survival. Our ability to restore balance.

Some quotes I’m using to capture some of this sentiment. To tip my hat to our individual power as it cradles collective presence. I like these:

A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit combined with constant restlessness
Albert Einstein

A leader‘s job is not to do the work for others, it’s to help others figure out how to do it themselves, to get things done, and to succeed beyond what they thought possible
Simon Sinek

I’ve learned that making a living isn’t the same thing as making a life
Maya Angelou

Resilience is a choice It’s choosing to rise above your circumstances and become who You’re meant to be.
David Goggins

Through our work
Through our lifestyle choices we take action
How we show up for others

Ultimately it’s action that defines us isn’t it. The habits we chip away at. The dance of one step forward two steps back cha cha cha. The narrative we adhere to in our heads. The failings and how we respond to integrate them as they add up to overall success. That’s what makes us who we are and creates the interesting stories we tell.

As someone who finds a mini mindfulness meditation in almost every step of the day. I could write for hours. Talk for hours about life & the miracles we are. The suffering, mindsets, exercise disciplines, self healing, foodie stuff, my soul is in the sky blessings that we experience all of which informs the way I think each of us offers a part of who we are to what we do. (That could be the adhefghijklmnop. Or it could be personality 🤷🏽‍♀️). Either way. The study of spirituality as an academic field that explores the human spirit and its qualities, such as compassion, love, and patience combined with leadership and health studies poses some wonderful insights into our psychology and behaviour.

What I see is people really care
What I see is people really want to help people
What I see is that people are kind
What I see is that people want to connect be part of community

I’m inspired by you
Well bloody done sorting through another muddle of year!

I believe It’s our basic instinct. I choose to allow all emotions and feelings and celebrate positives because they alter biochemistry in this body and tint the lens through which I witness our lives. In acknowledging this. This message is a heartfelt, wish for you and your family to have a peaceful cozy Buddha belly laughing memory making endorphin fuelled time this Christmas & New Year ❤️‍🔥🤩🪷

Shanti Shanti Shanti
Peace be with you
Peace Peace Peace

Back here in 2025 till then if you are joining in this dance in spirit I am with you! 💃🕺

The Story so Far....

During my Higher National Diploma in Leisure Studies at West Herts College, I favoured health, fitness and outdoor subjects. Working as a gym instructor and a conservation volunteer during spare time. I saved up for my first formal fitness qualification, Exercise to Music (1998).

I completed an Environmental Planning degree at Bangor Uni (2000). This wasn't where I learnt self discipline though. 'Twas the result of tough training with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers Territorial Army. The fun part, running a lot. It amplified my fondness for the great outdoors. So, when offered a Countryside Management Masters Degree, it was a no brainer. Term time meant working in the fitness scene. Outside Uni I continued volunteering for various environmental organisations. I even worked at Sunseed in Spain where I manned the office via solar power!

After graduation I was employed as a researcher. During summer I ran relaxation sessions, Body Pump classes, early bird circuits at 7am and health screening consultations at LA Fitness in Bromley. I volunteered again. This time in the settings of hospital and pirate radio in London. I dabbled as a presenter and host for high end brands through modelling agency work where I gained useful hospitality and event management skills.

Tracing family roots to Guyana, fuelled my curiosity for Latin America. I got involved on a street kids project in Bolivia. Studied Spanish. Gained insights into many other cultures and ways of life. Alongside personal interests in human and environmental health these valuable experiences inspired me to LEARN, EARN and RETURN. This remains a personal mantra.
