Rivervale is a small 20 bed family managed home. We provide a home from home environment and detail to carefully well-prepared nutritious meals is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join our team who is truly passionate about food and ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met. We take great pride in the exceptional care we have been able to provide residents for over thirty years. This is reflective of our relationships with our residents, their relatives, our suppliers and the local community.

✅The Role

· To plan menus on a weekly basis, to prepare a well balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.

· Prepare and cook food to high quality standards

· Manage stock levels and assist with placing food orders

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensure kitchen equipment is kept clean and ready for use and ensure all cleaning rotas are completed.

· To comply with all health and safety regulations and maintain the relevant records e.g. H.A.C.C.P.

· Maintain equipment and report any faults or issues to relevant people.

✅The Person

· Previous experience in a similar position.

· Relevant qualifications including basic food hygiene.

· Creative and enthusiastic.

· Hard working and works well in a team.

· Ability to communicate and listen, ability to work co-operatively with other staff.

· Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.

· High standard of personal presentation.

· Attention to detail.
